She is, for a long time, one of my prime favorites. She is the virtual daughter of Paganini himself and Leonid the Great. I hear Kogan when she is playing. I am glad that she could keep the Guarneri.
this is my all time fav violin piece. played by one of my fav violinists of today (male or female). totally agree w zzp1 - crisp distict notes and great right hand. fierce and tender at the same time - is that poss - w laila yes!
Paganini would have stand up from his grave. My goodness what a delight to hear you, how crispy and divine are your notes. How brilliant is your bowhand. Yoy are one of the greatest!!!!! Please come to Amsterdam.
@@santafucker1945 Because there is not such a thing as " the best pianist " or " the best composer " or " the best violinist " etc..( the most beautiful woman in the world ? )
There is no accout of the level of playing of Paganini. We may assume that - based on his compositions - he was something out of the ordinary. Yasha Heifetz could be recognised as being a top player, but there were some more of his level: Kogan, Francescatti, Oistrach, - I would say that Heifetz and Kogan were the best of their time.
But there are accounts of Paganini's playing by contemporaries. You must read more. I believe that in every generation technique advances, but perhaps expression has suffered. Great technique does not always bring with it emotional maturity. The best house painter could not bring you the subtleties of a beautiful sky, or speak to you through his work, of love and sorrow. There has to be a depth of the soul that guides the fingers and bow.
This is the first classical music I have ever heard. Actually, I heard it from an anime. And I love it very much!
I feel like Your Lie in April is the anime you're talking about :)
