These remakes are critically acclaimed in Korea considering they really didn’t like touching classics but they embraced Solar’s take as a refreshing homage to the originals. Nada Sou Sou is a Japanese song that Solar heard and fell in love with that she covered the song in Korean. The title is an Okinawan phrase meaning “great tears are falling” I like your comments. Her voice tells the story for each song. As you said soaring and free in the first one and soft and poignant in the latter.
This Solar Gamsung series is why Solar is my bias and favorite singer. And the little girl in the Nada Sou Sou video deserves some praise as well. All of mamamoo can make you feel anything but Solar is especially gifted at making you feel any emotion as if it is your own. And the series is not done, took her 6 years to get to song 11 a few months ago but she says the Solar Emotion project is still being done and there will be more.
