- Today, I'm going to reveal the draft verion of MAMAMOO's
"ILLELLA", which so many people love.
I actually sang the guide draft version long time ago,
but compared to what you're listening to right now, it was pretty different.
We even had an idea about putting each of our names in the lyrics.
So we even had 'Yongsun' as a lyric.
Then as the basic frame was set, I sang the guide version again,
and here's that version of "ILLELLA".
So much time and effort is required in order to create a single song.
Many of you guys were curious about the guide version when the song was coming out,
so I prepared this video for you, haha.

For real her voice is sooo good
Her voice is so recognizable, but when you really listen to all her parts in a Mamamoo song and in her own songs, her voice sounds so different each time. I love the way she immerses so completely into the concept not only visually, but vocally.
This comment is one way to put it! You're so right, she is very versatile, always experimenting with her sound, following whatever genre given to her. But at the same time, her voice is so distinctive to begin with you just can know it's Solar.

she sang the entire song by herself and nailed it even tho it was made for a group to sing. True talent
bec she made the demo? lol. you can listen to other demos of their song where one member sings the entire song as a guide
Solar's voice is so versatile yet has a distinct signature
It's amazing to hear her voice. She has a great range, such a powerful vocal with softness wherever it's needed. Her low registers in ILLELLA makes the song even better. Solar is one of the very few main vocalists in kpop who can flex effortlessly.
She truly is. Some people see her as just another power vocalist when her low register voice sounds so good, also the control she has on her voice when she belts those high notes. She is probably in the top 3 main vocalists of kpop.
It is rather mind-boggling how versatile her voice is
and she switches amongst all these styles and techniques so fluidly and flawlessly, including those vocal fry and varied sound effects. the fact that she makes the act of singing this mamamoo song on her own (except the rap) so effortlessly reflects not only the work she must've put into practice but also a keen understanding of her own musical flair as well as self-confidence. what a treat to watch her sing.

I can listen to Solar sing even nonsensical lyrics because I love the sound of her voice
Absolutely love this version so much, her voice is just incredible and has so much depth to it especially how her deep voice is so much sexier and entrancing. THE versatility of the one and only main vocalist
And what makes me proud is that she actually had to practice & work on her singing to get this range & richness in her voice. Very inspirational for ppl who wants to sing and make it big.

She worked hard for it yes, but she also has a lot of natural talent because there are plenty of stories who tried being an idol even at an early age and failing. That lack of star factor and natural talent is what sets them apart. Solar trained at 20 year old, the least time to train amongst Mamamoo members (the others trained from middle school and debuted at 20, solar trained only for 2-3 years), but she was able to debut as main vocalist, officially and recognized by public as well. That itself to be recognized by public for her singing skills that is above others, is a natural talent.
@@solaristhemainvocal6981 wow, I never mentioned anything about natural talent you just assumed wrong. Surely she has natural talent otherwise she wouldn't be at this level and judging multiple singing shows.
@@mamamoothequeens1459 usually these type of hard working comments always disregard her natural talent instead to promote the other members. It's best to mention both if you're really sincere about praising her
i think the mata hari training boosted her voice, because her ad-libs are crazy good and her voice sounds more effortless. everytime i hear her sing live, it sounds better than her previous performances. its truly enthralling to listen to artists who constantly improve their skills and sound better than before--
ps: damn the draft sounds so good, hearing this i wish they made it into a chill complete reggae song-

It always feels like Solar-nim has the spirit of a song flowing through blood vessels. For each comeback, it feels like she takes on a whole new persona. I love it so much

@@latenightcashews Exactly. I think the first time I noticed it consciously was during Yes I Am. The cutie bluffing concept was so different from her own personality at the time, and during the whole comeback, it felt like she wholly embraced the concept persona. Ever since then, these changes have become something I pay attention to and relish in noticing.

I actually prefer this version. Adding the other members to this would be amazing. I didn't enjoy the end result that much, wasn't really my style whereas this is.
