    Good demonstration that bonding really works.
    It's interesting to see which different calibres the different bullet types are available in.

    Perfect review. I shoot 7x57r geco Teilmantel and Always wondered what the Teilmantel does. I Will stick to soft point the express looks to fragmenting for my taste.

    Teilmantel is not "Telemantel"... means "separated jacket" or "partial jacket" in German. "Telemantel" means nothing.

    i killed many roedeers with 308w 170grs geco teilmantel on my custom remington 50cm barrel always with clean shots. This cartridge is good in stopping power but has got low penetration. I've never seen an exit hole on roedeer shut over 250 m.

    • @ScarryMarian2012
      @ScarryMarian2012 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the main feature of the softpoint ! Max stopping power combined with no overpenetration,wich is the best 2 features combined to one single bullet,i thinki really don't want te bullet that knock down a deer,to exit the deer's body and kill my dog also in the same shot,got the point ?

    • @ScarryMarian2012
      @ScarryMarian2012 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Otherwise,you can see the Leigh (High) Extreme penetrator rounds,wich can let a clean entrance/exit from an animal,but,where the bullet will travell further ??? Not so nice to use defense type of bullets on hunting.

    • @jayminer9416

      The RAR may be a low cost rifle.....and believe me i was skeptical. I bought one and let me tell you....it shoots just as good a 700 BDL, M77, 10/110, and ALMOST as good as my 270 Belgian Mauser and a 6.5x55 Swede. Dont sleep on this thing. I was amazed. I set out to build a "woods beater" so I wouldnt have to scuff up my nice Mausers. Snagged a RAR in 308 for $350 US, put on a Vector Crossfire II ($150 US), and I run Winchester Super X 150gr. 1 MOA groups are very common. My jaw dropped....

      I worked for a guide for a while and we had a running joke that you can tell Americans versus Europeans by their gear. An American will have a $2000 rifle and a $100 scope and the Europeans will have a $400 rifle and a $2000 scope. My rule of thumb is the scope should cost at least as much as the rifle. The scope will fail before the rifle will.

    Thx for the review. I can confirm the difference between the soft-point and the plus bullet. The Geco Plus really "walks" through the body of the game and does not separate and contaminated the meat. I talk about the experiences I made here in reference of your video: th-cam.com/video/vdatizTVVls/w-d-xo.html

    Good effort son practice makes a man perfect but tell me which living being has large body like your gel blocks except for an elephant - the CRUX of a bullet lies in the fact how much energy it can transfer within a short distance of body mass as any living being has a threshold of shock it can withstand after which it succumbs to its injury -- so the bullet must tumble in some direction in the tissue then travel further -- anyway since 2014 you must have got the right knowledge - if not try again

    This video has so many flaws that it is totally pointless. Don't rely on this guy's ''research''. It is completely asinine. The ballistic gellatin needs to be kept at 33-40 degrees F. and also needs to be calibrated. Neither were done. And it is also not intended to simulate flesh of any animal. It is simply, a test medium, that is completely repeatable. Hence, the need for it to be at the correct temperature and calibration. Just like any experiment, you have to have a control. Which is what the ballistic gel is.

  • @11xr1east
    @11xr1east 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I repeat, thanks to the U.S. government, civilians can't get hold of real bullets that would destroy ANYTHING in it's path such as this gel. The military have average size bullets that will go through all of that gel . we can see all these ballistics test videos all day, and will be dissatisfied.
