Glad you put this video up. I had the same problem to fix and got some good info before attacking the job. I was able to fix the broken connection with a rubber washer epoxied to the back of the arm attachment where the plastic grommet was broken. Essentially, it's just a plastic ball joint (metal ball and plastic socket) which breaks easily under too much strain.

Just what I needed to see. I had somebody put a flyer under my wiper blades a while back, some how they popped that plastic. I remember popping it back on a few years ago, this past winter storm did it in.

I fixed mine with a small hose clamp on top
