I LOVE Audrey’s dress!! I would totally wear that in 2018!!
Those first two lightening rounds were excellent! Both Audrey and Bob were good players.
“Hold on, I play nervous!” Lol!! I love Bob Crane!!!

Audrey Meadows was super-smart. What a classy lady! And did she ever know how to dress. Love her wardrobe.

I'm not sure why people keep using the comments to talk crap about Bob Crane. This video isn't about his personal life, it's about the episode of Password.
With that being said, I how Bob looks so satisfied with himself when he gets certain answers right. He's like a kid in a toy store!

Thank you for these PW uploads!!! Although I wasn't born yet, Audrey Meadows died of end-stage lung cancer a few days shy of her 74th birthday. I learned that her second husband was Robert F. Six, who was President/CEO of Continental Airlines, which Allen mentions at the beginning of this video.
I love Password and appreciate these old episodes since I wasn't born yet and my parents were in their late teens. LOL
I didn't mean to leave out Bob Crane. I did watch his HH on a black/white TV and I may not have understood what was going on, I did enjoy the explosions. He died too young and I''ve always been bothered that the murderer has never been found.

This show aired 19 years & five months before my nephew's wife was born. She was born on October 11, 1986.

I just loved Audrey as 'Alice Kramden' in 'The Honeymooners' with that accent uttering "RALPH". I agree with a previous comment, also love Audrey's dress.

I feel very fortunate to be seeing these vintage episodes 53 years later, because when these were new I was only watching cartoons

Bob: “Don’t be a wise guy.”
    Host: “Look who’s talking.”
The password is ‘stiff’, and Bob gives this excellent hint: “Dead”
This man was hilarious! Love Bob Crane!

Bob Crane had a good supporting role in the 1972 TVM "The Delphi Bureau", which was the pilot for the short-lived TV series of the same name, starring Laurence Luckinbill.

Allen remarked several times during this week of shows how good of friends he was with Bob Crane. Wonder if Allen knew about Bob's personal "escapades" and deviant behavior.

@@joeambrose3260 I can't help but wonder if Mr. Crane didn't hit on the female contestants. I saw the movie about his life, but don't remember how he found "participants" for his antics.

at first Lighthouse for beacon sounds insane for a first round clue, but when you think about it, what else is there? Spotlight maybe?

I don't know of the word was used much then (or even if this is really a great clue) but I'm thinking as a clue for the word "Bind" maybe "Scrunched."

Another bad episode. Self-centered Bob Crane mugging for the camera, instead of making the contestant feel comfortable.
Clue for "Bind" should have been "Book". As in Bookbinding.
Bob Crane being self-absorbed the whole game. He gave crummy clues very often (all week) and then got upset when the contestant (who was trying to win money) did not get Crane's clue. He was much better at playing a fake Colonel on TV than playing Password.
Paul Anka, Peter Lawford, Douglas Fairbanks Jr. were very good at the game and did not treat the contestant like a stray dog as Bob Crane did. A.L. did not discipline him because A.L. was always kissing up / making nice with the celebrities.
The male contestant toward the end of this episode was not very bright at all. How did such dimwits get on the show about words?
I wonder if any of the Password staffers are watching these videos and reading the comments? If so, please explain how the contestants were picked to be in front of the camera. I know that to be on the Jeopardy! game show a person must pass a test first.

It was 56 years ago. They're all dead or senile by now.
