It's not the responsibility of other people to avoid you and vacate the line so you can have a hot lap. That's actually dangerous and leads to serious collisions. Spot them a few corners ahead of time and plan to alternate your apexes so you don't have an awkward pass; generally the passing car has the responsibility to find the speed off line. He even gave you a point by in the direction of the next apex.
I know, but it wouldn't be dangerous if the lead car was also watching his mirrors and sped up to get out of the way. Slowing accelerating out of a corner on the line is not a great thing to do. All good though, they didn't have to be accommodating.
If you're out for lap times, go to a time trial event. If you're at an HPDE, follow those rules. They literally organize events around giving people the opportunity to set hot laps without interruption.
You can drive!! People are so funny with there commets about you yelling at the guy and the gps timer blah blah. Jealousy brings out the negative commentary. You're flying and they cant do a lap that fast in any car
Track timer is totally legitimate comment. His time was over a second slower than he claims. Thats a lot. Phone gps vs real gps. Totally inaccurate. Also he had no valid reason to be pissed at the other driver. Facts. Oh and I have done laps they fast in my AMG
3 things. 1 : Amazing driving for that platform in a manual no less. Kudos 2: you lap time was a 1:32.4. Which is still amazing. I’m guessing you don’t have GPS connected to App. That’s still same as my PB with a AMG GTR and I drive there a lot. My speeds are way higher but your cornering speeds were freaking fast as F 3: that other driver didn’t do a single thing wrong. He actually did exactly what he’s supposed to do. Stay on the line which is predictable and safer. Little surprising someone with your skill doesn’t know this and actually yelled at the dude when he was 1000% in the right here.
I didn't bother with the external GPS so there's a few tenths variation in sure. And for the traffic, while he was in the right to stay predictable it's still annoying that he didn't have the sense to get off the racing line if he wasn't going to accelerate at full pace out of the corner. He can do whatever, we're sharing the track, but I'm still gonna be annoyed. Personally I'd be gtfo'ing vs parking it on an exit with a faster car on my tail. Having that awareness is what I would want out of my fellow open passing drivers.
@@RGman188 Xp160 is like $170 is accurate within 1/100th. Phones gps on apps can be off a lot. Yours was off over a second for instance. Plus when you replay it will show you speed inaccuratly. Just heads up. Whether the guy was going slow to annoy you , is just a lot slower or slowing down so you so you could make the pass easier doesn’t really matter honestly. I have people all the time that actually do crap that’s super unpredictable and dangerous not just slowing down my hot lap. It would be good if you could take a step back and really look at the situation here. Defending how you acted is disconcerting. Have shown to lots of my racing buddies. To show how fast that car is capable of going. They all gave you props but they all mentioned how you getting upset about that driver was out of line and that the dude did NOTHING wrong. Dont be annoyed be happy you ran 3 seconds faster than Pobst did in that car on the old surface. Ttack is 1.5 seconds faster According to. Most people I trust so that’s still 1.5 seconds than a pro who does Laguna a LOT. What car did you have before and do you have racing back ground ? Still blown away by some of your Corning speeds. I need to push more. My car doesn’t even get loose on my 1:32s. 🤔
Few things… Congrats man! Amazing lap! Makes me once again want a GS! Is that really all the mods for that low of a time?! I imagine you at least have upgraded pads, yes? Ballsy entry to t6! Nice catch on t9! And yeah, WTF was that vette doing blocking the race line?! Idiot.
Yep, no performance mods other than the wheels/tires. I consider fluids and brake pads a standard track necessity, tires are what help you slow down, not fancy pads. Although fancy brake pads do let you do it lap after lap. It's a good platform, easy to drive, easy to maintain, would recommend!

Nah he's on a fast lap, get the hell out of the way. If your going that slow.
