I have been selling in booths for many years. Different people have different expectations of what they want out of it. The one thing that we have in common is our love for it-without that, what’s the point? You have to love the hunt, love the decorating, love vintage and antiques to make this sustainable. New to your channel and I like it❤
So Amanda, if you take into account the cost of rent for your booth…the cost of items that you are buying to resell, plus the cost of gas to drive around shopping, plus incidental costs, paint, cleaning supplies, etc. for the booth and restoring and cleaning the items you are selling, do you think it is worth the amount of time to make such a small amount of money? How does it average out over a 12 month period? Is your TH-cam channel monetized, and are you counting the income for that when you figure in your profit? I would love to do a booth in an antique mall, but for the time you put into it, I am not sure it would be worth doing in the long run.
You did well! You didn't have your booth together for a full month in January. It took a while to get the new booth ready to go. I bet February will be lots better. The booth is nice
I rent space in 2 stores and they both charge rent and 10% of sales. One store is a co-op so rent is cheaper but I have to work there a few days a month. Yep, with January and February being slower sales months the goal is just to make rent/expenses.. ❣️
Our store is booth rent and fee for credit card But our rent just rose but we haven't had on increase in rent in 5 years so it was expected between my two booths it was only 25 bucks
Paying both is pretty common here. My first booth was 13% commission and many around here are the same or higher. I only know of one location with rent only and they are in the $300 price point for even their small spaces.
That is true. Booths come with slow months. For January I was able to pay rent, cover my expenses, and walk away $30 in the green. Just a slow time of year.
My payout is actually $130 this month, Idk why I said $190. 🤦♀

You got this girl! Just keep on shopping and resetting 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It’s always good to make rent & more. Your hair looks pretty!
Thank you! I'm usually lazy and don't bother putting products in it, and styling because it take so long, but I really do love it.
This was our slowest month by far! Making rent and having profit is always the goal! It is always fun to see what everyone else is selling.
I'm interested to see if February will be different and when the up-tick starts to happen for the year.

Very true! I didn't take into account the down time while doing my reset.

Thanks for sharing this info, very helpful as we start out the new year :)
Glad it was helpful!
This is very interesting to me since I have a booth… ty! 💓💓💓
For January that's not bad,
We didn't think so either!
Our store is booth rent and fee for credit card
But our rent just rose but we haven't had on increase in rent in 5 years so it was expected between my two booths it was only 25 bucks
Not bad! We don't have a credit card fee, so that is nice.
How do you keep track of your inventory?
I go over this in my Q & A Video, but currently I don't have too much of a system. Just keep track of my general purchases.
Good video
I'm confused, do you pay rent AND a %??? I've been a dealer and been in many shops for 30 years, never paid a % and rent...crazy.....

Yep , in my area it is a rent fee and commissions.
I have a booth in two locations. Rent plus 10% at one and rent plus 5% at the other. I’m in Indiana
I’m in central Texas. I pay rent and 10% + 3% for any purchases made with a credit card.
Kentucky here. Rent plus commission is standard in my area.
Sorry if you are only making booth rent, you are losing money.
