Thank you for showing this coach with the slides in...gives a good idea how it will be when travel. In my opinion one of the most important things to know when purchasing anything with slides. 👍 Thanks again!
Exactly. Funny how a lot of the comments complain about that.
soapLady52, yeh, I’m with you. My question’s always: Can I get to the bathroom and fridge in between destinations with slides in? That’s most important to me....space with slides out is gravy😊
I agree show the slides in the slide them out for the wow factor, missed opportunity, thanks for posting though!
I found this video from a few years ago. Love this class C. Love the fact you access the to anything while the slides are in. Love the colors outside and inside. Thank JD.
Hell yeah... bring on the videos. Can’t wait for some of these new truck reviews also.
I have ruled against a Class C or Super C when I go full time. Understand I WANT such a rig as I have a Class C right now and LOVE it.
But 3 specific issues rule it out for me.
1. Major engine or other mechanical issues and I am in a hotel. 5th wheel, you're still at the Park while the truck is in the shop.
2. On-board propane storage. You need to drive for a fill up.
3. You're towing a car.
(Pssst....in regards to this last one.....whom ever comes up with a self driving car that can be virtually tethered to a MH will become a very wealthy individual. Or, you send it out ahead as a scout vehicle. It gets stuck in a traffic/accident event; you motor around via detour, arrive at destination....and later...putt putt putt....your car pulls into your camp spot.)
Yes to reviews on smaller campers. Most people drive SUV`s, jeeps and half ton trucks. Mix in a few every now and again.
Nice rig! I spotted this and commented about it as you walked by it in a previous video. I'm glad you reviewed it as I was curious about it. Thanx!!
Thank you for sharing, displaying with slides IN. Accessing amenities with slides IN is thoughtful design. Class C ‘stealth’ mode ha ha
I owned a v10 for sixteen years and pulled a 32' 5th wheel. No problems pulling the mountains in Utah. Yes I only got 1/2 the mileage that a diesel would get, but then I constantly pay substantially less in fuel costs, oil changes and exceptionally high upfront cost. Keep your diesels for the semis.
I've commented on being able to use the RV with the slides in before, so thanks for thinking of us! I like the 7500 lb towing capacity.
Great video, I think you are the first to speak about the high wind and the covers over the slides.
Nice comprehensive review, as usual! I have no plan to ever own an RV and I'm still a subscriber, haha. I probably came across your channel from a diesel truck video.
Enjoyed the review. Would like to see more Class C reviews.
Great videos I really enjoy all your info on such different things lots of great ideas.
Tiny RV's make camping accessible, but Class C's are very rentable on RV sharing sites.
this was awsome!
Could you show us some smaller and cheaper ones as well!
Yes I am definitely interested in seeing the small pull behinds !
I realize this video is a couple years old, but it’s still nice to see one of these units and to hopefully see one after a couple years of use. Overall this is a decent looking coach and would be an excellent RV for a couple that just wants to RV for fun and not for full time. I’m sure it would also work for full timers, as it has a reasonable amount of basement storage, but the kitchen area is very limited and that area would get really small after a couple months of full time living. I could see renting something like this for several weeks up to a couple months if the price was right.
I would love to see more small travel trailer reviews. Something a couple would use camping for a few days, in a State Park lets say. Smaller gives you more flexibility on locations and boondocking.
Beautiful interior! Great review.
Great review. Nice class C coach. Thanks BTBRV.
Would've been better had you opened the slides.
My first thought
@@GrouchoTM Mine too. Looks like it would be great opened up.
I agree
Yea kind of took the sizzle out of the presentation!
Looks Great 👍
To each their own, but wow, the amount of coach behind the rear axle on this rig is insane. Be dragging tail pretty much every time you enter or exit a drive, and watch out for tail swing when turning. Plain and simple, the manufacturer saved a few bucks by using a shorter wheelbase chassis on this unit. Kinda makes me wonder where else they skimped.
You should do more class A , super C reviews!!!
I am so glad you filmed with slides in! Thank you! All others should take note!
Looks awesome, especially with the $40k discount. Though as a 6'2" person, I wish that bed was facing lengthwise instead...
BigTruckBigRV Can you do some videos on living quarters horse trailers and toy haulers? Love your channel!
love the paint i like all the swirls and colors
Thank for this. I saw a ram 4500 with the Cummins.then I saw on with the f450 with the power stroke. Are they custom units?
We are looking to purchase w/in the next year. I am concerned about appliances in slides, do you have any have thoughts about appliances malfunctioning due to slides going in & out causing kinks or shorts, etc to appliances? Thanks
How about opening the slides?
I like this one!
Love it , we have. 2003 minnie winnie 31C and have the v10 in it. Thanks for this video
Yes, I have a 2005 22’ C minnie Winnie v10;with 360 hp and it flies up hills, love it!
Can you help me find your video of you hanging that tv wall mount using pop rivets...?
Great review! Regarding small trailers I’d like to chime in for a review or two on compact ultralight (not teardrops). The type a small vehicle like a 4 cyclinder Toyota RAV4 with 1500 lb towing capacity. 👍 to you.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like Coachmen has improved its fit and finish on that particular model. The V10 has been bulletproof for many years. Although I believe your mileage figures are somewhat high. Especially loaded and towing something. More around 7-8 mpg. Did you notice what type of power mechanism drives the slides?
HDLowrider I have a similar size rig on the same chassis with the same engine. I get 9-10 towing.
Yes on small rv
love the tiny ones!
That's really nice.
By the way when is that show your supposed to do due out on TV???
Can’t believe the kitchen is set up that way.
Very nice review of an excellent coach! Too bad it doesn’t have a diesel engine.
Hello sir ,enjoying your vids ! And YES would like to see more videos with small campers I would also appreciate and like to see some more off road rugged campers / rv / trailers ,more unconventional or less popular ones. More with off grid capabilities. Thank you verry much. And greetings from Romania
Enjoy your videos. Our 2018 class A with 18K GVWR Ford F53 chassis, 23K GCWR and V10/6 speed gets 7mpg on a bad day and 7.8 on a good day with Equinox in tow. Perhaps a bit optimistic 11 mpg, but hey who knows, wind drag is our biggest enemy in the class A. Would have been nice to see the slides out.
I agree. Last year I ran a chevy 3500 dump body with the 454 big bloc/5 speed manual. Never passed 6mpg.
Nice unit!
nice rig. Agree on the lameness of no magnets on the slam latches!!
Do Class C’s come with a spare and if not, is there room for one and if no room, what happens if you get a blow-out where fix-a-flat won’t help?
Awesome rig , next demo open the slides, awning ect
Please do more of the smaller coaches.
Do like you reviews of smaller rv (towables). Micros are interesting, but not as convenient / practical for most people as full amenity travel trailer or truck camper (fresh water, toilet, kitchen appliances inside). Have owned Class C Motorhome, truck camper and two travel trailers. Of the three, the small travel trailers (13-21 foot) offerred the most convenience (no assembly required) and value (price paid vs amenities) of the 3 types. Motorized RVs biggest challenge was coulbnt separate the living space from vehicle when repairs were needed. Hope this info is helpful to your viewers.
Amazing that such a big motor home affords such little attention to accommodating a decent meal prep area.
Can you do a review on a 2019 Triple E class c
My grandma had 1998 Coachman class C with that same chassis. Talk about old! The cockpit had a lot of the same cosmetics. Isn't Ford doing away with the E-series and going to a Transit chassis setup?
That is one sweet rig do you know if this is a cdl or regular license
I would love to own an RV. Then i could travel back home to Texas, After visiting some friends up North in Pennsylvania.
For me I look at layout first, then if I like it I head to all the exterior and extras. Otherwise I just go to the next model.
I love them big or small even this type
Yeah! More "LTLRV" please ;)
That’s nice
yes... more tiny rv reviews... thanks !
Super nice 👍🏽
Nice! Like it!
This floor plan looks very similar to the Forest River Sunseeker 2860DS, like really similar...the main difference is the Sunseeker only has slides on the drivers side but the overall layout is the same.
I like the paint, but just a bit long for me. I bought the same rig only 28ft, then had Ford do a 4" lift and 4X4 conversion. The smaller ones have a overall lower profile perfect for the conversion. The 'aerodynamic' cap on the front does yield a couple MPG on the HY, and makes headwinds easier to handle.
Dynamax is producing some "earth tone" plain exterior paint with 4X4 and diesel, due to the price tag they also include a jar of Vaseline...lol
Love the lay out in this one, is it a 4 season?
I wonder why they put on 225/75 R 16 tires on this instead of the 19.5 tires that are on the F-450 like you have on your truck?
I'm thinking about living in a camper but I own a ford ranger. And not sure if it'll be able to handle it
Check out the mini Winnebago or the geo pro. There a guy traveling Robert I think. He tows a mini with his small truck.
Yes, little rvs
Very nice but would have been nice if dealer would have had it set to where the slides were out. Very nice Class C.
I would like to see a small one that could be winterized? With heater, a.c. and solar panels?
Yes to the small rv vids name it small vehicles small rvs!
Consider expansion mini reprotoiré mini camper's mistro ?
This floor plan is ok but the coachman concord ts which stands for triple slides is the best as it has a full walk-in closet and also a washer/dryer combo in the bathroom and its great for a family who travels or lives full time with laundry needs, i agree the toppers are more of a liability esp when the wind will rip them off and do a lot of damage to the coach when it happens easier to sweep the slide off when you get ready to go than to take the chance and why would they put the generator exhaust pipe aiming at the back bedroom slide out ..... i mean the fumes could allow you to wake up dead from C02 poisoning.....good review now if you can find the one with the washer dryer and walk in closet you would be great!!!1 keep looking and you will find it I’m sure
That paint is hideous. Just about every Class A, and Class C, have these outrageous graphics on them. Would be nice to see something that doesn't scream at the top of it's lungs, "LOOK AT ME".
I am a Graphic Artist and agree with you 100%! What is it with this "throw-up and swirl" look.
I would think most people would like a relaxed color scheme. After all you go on vacation to relax, correct?
I like it, but I’m just a consumer!
@@2Greenlid get a life...have fun
Joe Dunbar yeah, it’s played out now.
J.D.,
I was hoping you could give your honest opinion on this Coachmen RV. Me and the wife are considering this Coachmen as a retirement gift to us both. We wanted to travel the country for a few months or even possibly live in full time. But we don't want to spend 80,000 to 100,000 grand on a RV that will end up being a piece of junk.
I like the video, thanks. My main concerns are that Coachmen has a so-so reputation for quality control and that there's no washer and dryer in this unit. We plan to get a C or 5th wheel when I retire and having been looking at Jayco and Thor but your review got me somewhat interested in looking at a Coachmen. We'd planned to go to the Hershey show but with the coronavirus non abated even if the show must go on it will be without us.
RV videos are best with slides IN; and THEN slide them out.
need more videos on the smaller ones
The paint style/graphics is horrendous on the class C... when will RV manufacturers go for a simpler, sleeker look? Check out European RV's, so much more appealing.
When young people start financing them. We need a more spartan motorcoach in the US for young people. Much better investment than an apartment.
@V. V it's show they justify a 10k plus paint job. If they painted it plain white you'd save a lot of money.
I do enjoy the small trailers. But, one thing I would like to see are floorplans that do NOT have slide outs. It would be interesting to see what is out there that do not employ slides, but clever use of space to optimize square footage.
We have a 22’ 2005 Minnie Winnie with no slides and love it, has a sofa and a dinette, kitchen in the back,
If you find a nice one grab it, people are constAntly asking us if we want to sell it, no way!
Well at least you'll have somewhere to stay when it breaks down on the highway
The only way to go is the super c with semi type cab .you have air ride and air brakes also 22.5 rim that the way i went
Do you have to have a cdl license to drive this?
That cab has been out of production for quite some time, same for the engine. The motorhome is built on an obsolete chassis that if you intend to keep it for a few years, (like the 15 year loan) that may become an issue. Plus if you ever have to work on the V-10 that is stuffed into the van front clip, what a headache.
Give me a GM 5500 Duramax chassis option then i would be interested in purchasing one! I hope someone will wise up to this.
Coachman is not known for its quality, but it is nice.
Whats wrong with Coachmen Quality?
James Jeffrey Coleman bad reviews
Coachman was the cheap brand. Now they’re all cheap quality at a high price
Yes, little campers. Please show a Rockwood 12srk. It's the newest one.
Is there a CD player?
I’m a fan of the fans
Cool
Perfect except for the slides that will fail and or leak. Also frameless windows give you no cross breeze. The Winnebago Trend (24ft) is a way better small RV IMO especially with the beast turning radius and great mpgs.
Waiting for review of 2020 Ford Superduty with 7.3 gas motor
Grand Design Solitude S Model 2930RL - I'd love to see a BTBRV review, If you can find one (selling like hotcakes!). I saw one review with the claim that it's a 3/4 ton pickup towable...WHAT?! Thanks for your great videos!
2019 with 1997 steering wheel.
That seems to be one of the roomiest class C's I've seen
Sliiiiiides Out for a review!!!!
Any chance a class C is offered on a Ram platform? 3500-45000 perhaps? The lifetime warranty for Ram gas engines is tough to pass up, if it is still offered.
You’ll hardly ever see a latch to hold the storage door open when the door is located under a slideroom. That is a neat floor plan though!
Is diesel not an option in that chassis? I feel like a diesel would be better for pulling that much rv.
Slides open??
