Yeah it was. Shady was like a boss battle that play more had to beat. And with how the game went, I feel like Shady could fit as a friendly rival for Play more as Wally while Uzi gunner is the true rival Blue that you want to beat.
This might be the most intense draft league battle I have ever seen. The steaks, the RNG, the crazy plays, everything. I was biting my nails for the entire duration of that battle, it's hard to make a 1 hour battle this intense, but the editing was fire as well. Props to Play More!

For those wanting clarification on the foul play burn mechanics: Burn doesn’t reduce the attack stat, it reduces the damage dealt by physical attacks. So, it reduces the damage of moves like foul play or body press if the user is burned. If the target of foul play is burned, damage will not be reduced since the attack stat of the target has not been reduced. this is also why critical hits have their damage reduced by burn rather than ignoring the damage reduction. The same follows for choice band. It increases the damage of physical attacks rather than the attack stat itself, so it does increase foul play and body press damage if the user is holding it, while targeting a choice band holder with foul play will not result in more damage than usual.

Such a good battle on both sides. in my opinion the best battle of both seasons that Play More has taken part of and might also be the best battle of Play More history. could be wrong and something might happen in the future to just throw this crazy battle out the window but only time will tell.

Not stall, only stall set was Electrode which didn’t last long. Vaporeon and Weezing bulk, Meta and Val offense, Glastrier set up. Standard. Shady just couldn’t break a support Vaporeon, that ain’t my fault.
1 hour long and i watched every single moment of it. VAPOREON MY FAVORITE SHINY DID IT!! LETS GO BEN!!! This was the best battle from the season what a roller coaster of emotion. That crit on glastrier was crazy unfortunate and the face of defeat of Ben was very SAD, very surprise shady didnt foul play with rotom wash from the start while the hourse was setting up, im going to watch his video too to understand why he did that. We got unlucky with burns and crits BUT with got lucky with burns and most importantly if we poisoned the landorus terion that was the end of the game. This is pokemon and this happen. NEVER SURREND until is very OVER. This are the pokemon battle we love to see it. Congrats Ben keep strong 💪 isnt over yet! You can do this. We are in playoff!

Such a great battle! I still think Shady had a turn to clutch up after Sneazler went down by terablasting vaporeon twice and even after that apparently thwacky killed vaporeon with one wood hammer? I def think there was something that coulda been done there
I did check on that Tera Blast calc! He only had a 7% chance to 2HKO Vaporeon after stealth rocks. It was definitely his play but he’d have to get two very high rolls to knock us out and no wish. Overall he needed to pivot more on my protects since rocks were on my side. Just a lot of nerves and close calls.

Having watched Shady's video I already know the result, but I wanted to still watch this video to see Play More's perspective. This was a great game. Both coaches put their heart and soul into this and I'm so glad the the game with my two favorite teams was such a nail biter. It would have been a bit depressing if I had to watch either Play More or Shady get completely blown out against each other.
Was looking forward to this match ALL SEASON!! I already watched Shady’s side! Crazy game! I can’t argue that as Shady was already in the Playoffs, I was rooting for your team in the end. Still, to this day, toooooo many years later - one of my favorite plays of all time in draft team format is GBA Season 4, with that clip you showed at the start, when Milotic took down your Raikou with a Mirror Coat! SPOILERS!! I love that Shady did get 2 crits to finally take down the 2 really slow recovery sets (Vaporeon and Glastrier. It was some kind of poetic justice with that Crit Woodhammer on the last turn, even though it didn’t matter for the end result XD

The only 2 crits that happen was at the start with metagross against azelf with heavy slam and the rotom wash against glastrier with foul play. Vaporeon goes down without crit. That vaporeon was very weak defensivly infact was invested on special defense and HP, infact twacky was choice band burn and super effective, if it would be invested on defense, he would survive.

I just wanna put this out there ik alot of people on shadys and what can happen in this comment section r saying ben played stall and shouldnt have won I want people to understand ben had to win to guarantee at least 7 or 8th at most and sometimes u have to bring sets that may be stall but u have to do what u can to win now I also agree stall is never fun to do and im sure ben didnt want ro bring stally sets but he had to do what he needed to do to win and at the end of the day a win is a win I say instead of complaining lets congrat and give ben some support for the playoffs

outcome spoiler this was such a great battle. the moment Glastrier fainted because of the crit, I thought it was over for the Beneral. to come back from losing a +3/+3 Glastrier, which was basically ready to sweep, with nothing less than pretty much perfect pivoting and Wish usage was absolutely amazing to see. big kudos to the Beneral 😎
Awesome battle! One thing I noticed is that the two Pokemon that did the most work were Weezing and Vaporeon which are both gen 1 But AMAZING battle though!

I said it once I saw the draft, WE'RE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!
Was looking forward to this match ALL SEASON!! I already watched Shady’s side! Crazy game! I can’t argue that as Shady was already in the Playoffs, I was rooting for your team in the end.
Still, to this day, toooooo many years later - one of my favorite plays of all time in draft team format is GBA Season 4, with that clip you showed at the start, when Milotic took down your Raikou with a Mirror Coat!

I love that Shady did get 2 crits to finally take down the 2 really slow recovery sets (Vaporeon and Glastrier. It was some kind of poetic justice with that Crit Woodhammer on the last turn, even though it didn’t matter for the end result XD

@@GeneralTarheel Oh wow! I misheard Shady then. Either way, a really cool way to end the match with the Vaporeon that became the bane of Shady’s existence go down in the last turn XD
The only 2 crits that happen was at the start with metagross against azelf with heavy slam and the rotom wash against glastrier with foul play.
Vaporeon goes down without crit.
That vaporeon was very weak defensivly infact was invested on special defense and HP, infact twacky was choice band burn and super effective, if it would be invested on defense, he would survive.

I just wanna put this out there ik alot of people on shadys and what can happen in this comment section r saying ben played stall and shouldnt have won
I want people to understand ben had to win to guarantee at least 7 or 8th at most and sometimes u have to bring sets that may be stall but u have to do what u can to win now I also agree stall is never fun to do and im sure ben didnt want ro bring stally sets but he had to do what he needed to do to win and at the end of the day a win is a win
I say instead of complaining lets congrat and give ben some support for the playoffs
Stalling is a valid way to win. Commenting in the video that this is so not entertaining and stupid is a valid way to watch and comment. Get over yourself

He’s not a real penguin, he’s a shapeshifter called Frobisher who lives life in the shape of a penguin. In order the protect modesty, he wears a black and white pair of pants that you can’t tell he’s wearing, because they look like regular penguin legs

MAN, what a match!!! To see my two teams go against each other was absolutely riveting! I was on the edge of my seat - Play More's Beneral really showed that he has what it takes here. I do sadly think about the missed Protect in the last battle and am glad to see it used lots here. You all did so wonderful, and thank you so much for making competitive Pokemon digestible and easier to understand!

this was such a great battle. the moment Glastrier fainted because of the crit, I thought it was over for the Beneral. to come back from losing a +3/+3 Glastrier, which was basically ready to sweep, with nothing less than pretty much perfect pivoting and Wish usage was absolutely amazing to see. big kudos to the Beneral 😎

One thing I noticed is that the two Pokemon that did the most work were Weezing and Vaporeon which are both gen 1 But AMAZING battle though!
