Me and this paper do not get along so I'm interested to see how well you work it! Edit: so I wanted to share my thoughts, which you basically nailed. The original 50% cotton rag paper was replaced by what you're working on now at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. I had it on auto shipping from Amazon because of how good it USE to be. Around May of 2022 I noticed right away that they changed suppliers or manufacturers for this block and kept the packaging the same, hoping we wouldn't notice? I thought maybe it was a bad batch so I continued to use it and I began getting frustrated. I took out my older artworks and compared it to the newer paper and it wasn't the same. So yes, I agree... it's just bad paper and the only use I have for the remaining blocks are swatching charts. I appreciate you sharing this video because no one talks about these things so I appreciate your honesty...

I only saw this paper for the first time a month ago and I had my suspicions from the beginning, since I’ve had a similar experience with Etchr 50% cotton paper. But I had no idea the previous one was good - I thought this is just this type of paper haha

This paper is terrible, I ordered it from Canada, it wasn’t cheap On ali at all. I can buy cheaper paper that is better. Mine has weird spots when used with watercolor, after drying. It is the worst paper I worked on.
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that it was expensive for you! I’m only able to tolerate this kind of paper when it’s cheap but if you have to pay extra, then yes, it’s not worth it! But at least now you know that you don’t like it:)
See I thought this was the ONLY one that experienced this with this specific paper block. That's because they changed it about a year ago from what it use to be, which was actually really good!
