It's the end that's the best for me. The way Victor tells Jack to stick his karaoke up his arse just as the doors close so there's no come back. Comedy gold.

I stumbled across this series on Netflix a few months ago, and became an instant fan - I find it amazing how Jack and Victor have managed to bring this series to life. This is the best episode of all of them.. Absolutely Brilliant! (.. or a term used here in Canada - Really Awesome!!) Winston really deserves to be happy, and it looks like Winnie will make this happen. Sorry to see the series has run its course . As a parting comment from Toronto, Canada, I'm proud to have learned new slang to add to my vocabulary!
Hi Jane - I too came across ‘Still Game’ on Netflix almost by accident, and I have not enjoyed a show as much as this one for many years. I have a Scots friend who had never seen it either, and we watched it laughing our selves silly all the while. Unfortunately I missed parts of the last series as I don’t think Netflix broadcast it? I have since been catching up on their earlier endeavours on TH-cam. Their show ‘Chewin’ the Fat’ is very funny. Cheers from Australia.

Thirty years to the day, Old Man Griffin let me in that morning, my first day January '92. Across from the King's Theatre. Man this was made about a decade later. Our standard price for a pint of Tennents' Lager or for example 70 Shilling heavy was 1 pound 20p before Bass took the pub over spring, 3 months on.
Dunno how many times i've seen this, but cant help noticing that Jack seems to exclusively stock Australian lager. God i've got too much time on my hands.....
This is wonderfully funny, and it's got to be one of the reasons they created the TV show Still Game. I notice that the language is a bit easier to understand. I would love their other show, Chewin the Fat, if I could only make out the words a bit better.
Just as well it never worked out. Otherwise we'd never have met Boaby. But was this done in the later days of CTF, cos Jack mentioned The Clansman as i think they started SG while CTF was still running?

I'm getting on a bit but in 1973 when I was 17 (I know, under age drinker) a pint was 16p and 10 Embassy Regal ( I was a smoker then but stopped in 1975) was 15p so you could have 5 pints of beer and 10 cigarettes for less than a pound. Of course at that time I was only earning £14.00 a week.
