I relised how much I loved my country after i moved to Australia and feeling homesick watched chewing the fat and i felt an unspeakable happiness and love of what it means to be uniquely Scottish ❤🏴
That's some very funny stuff. Especially the phone gag. Sure it's a bit "corny" we yanks call it but how can you not chuckle at the couple of fannies!! I love it, keep 'em coming.
Actually I am a teuchter and I used to have a jumper like that as well. Made me laugh out loud though, thanks for posting it. Right, I'm off to Cracknafuddin Point..
I stumbled across this hilarious show while spending several months in Scotland last year for work... man i wish they would get this in the US. If you haven't seen it, watch Taysiders in Space. It's one of the funniest skits there is (and you may need a Scottish friend to translate). If you ever get the chance to visit Scotland, jump at it. It has some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.
Set phasers tae Malky!!! 😂😂😂😂 Have ye seen the spin off ‘Still game’ the 2 auld guys Jack and Victor got their ain show. Ye’ll pish yer drawers. If ye find yersel headin back geez a shout available for translations/interpretations tours history Whisky (nae E in there 😉) an show ye places that’ll make ye rip up yer passport. 😂👍🏼
Well I'd say fmfx's description is correct in a way but most people (especialy us weegie's) apply it to all people from the north, Aberdeen etc. as a way of taking the piss out them, not too serious, only said in jest.
@@ValiantWrestling I used "Chavs" because that English variety relates to my experience, but if it does indeed apply to Neds in Scotland then so be it (sadly).
anyone who doesn't come from the glasgow area or close enough to it,anyone who uses words like tatties, ken, blazing, gadgie etc also when they answer you instead of saying aye(once) they say it 3 times or more.
@MickeyLove01 What happens when I look it up, is I find that Nipkow, in 1876, created a "spinning disk" that was able to capture and show pictures, but he did nothing with it. I then find out that in 1925, Baird took Nipkow's disc, and made a functioning TV, able to display moving images via an electric signal. John Logie Baird used other research to create the TV. Albert Einstein created the Theory of Relativity, based on research by Newton and Galileo, but THEY didn't create it. So there.

Chavs have been around for ages, but they've only 'achieved' a common identity (Burberry etc.) and national recognition in recent years.
