thanks so much for this video series. I've bought logic 1 month ago, and now I'm learning Logic with your video each day. It speed up so much my learning. I appreciate ! Merci.
19:40 all due respects to what MTHG covers in his lessons (all resourceful and helpful) - but so sorry, I couldn't help myself laughing hysterically on Logic's skip function on DMD. If I were to channel my inner KhabyLame 😑🤦🏾♂️... I'd just switch off the note cell instead of 'skipping' it, right?🤷🏾♂️😂 Or am I missing something?
Your content is top notch, i've been learning logic through your videos. I really wish you could do a Serum sound design tutorial, that would be absolute next level or even Vital. Thanks a bunch, i signed up to BoomBox through your channel as well.
I had to smack my forehead when you showed the 8T setting for 12/8 feel. All this time, I should have figured that out when step sequencer regions first came to Logic. Well done, as usual.
Is there a setting in DMD for midi mapping? Can I quickly set it to work with Roland v drums? Also, how can I set up Logic to automatically color differently the regions or patterns which are NOT the same? Could be so helpful to see immediately that 2 or more regions are identical or not without manually change their colors. Thanks.
Really digging the DMD after watching your tutorial. Just wondering, is there a way to switch from the whole drum machine to just one instrument in certain parts of the song? For instance, having just a high hat play before bring in the whole drum machine. Appreciate any advice on how to do this. Thank you.
🙋♂️ Can we add additional kicks, snares, and ect. Into the Sound Library (panel on the left by pressing Y)? Is there a root folder we can navigate to to add more sounds? 4:57
I want my custom drums to show up as the logic presets do in DMD 😩 also is there a way to have multiple channels with DMD so you can mix drums seperately?
DMD by default loads up as a track stack. So just click the arrow on the track header for DMD and you'll see an individual aux channel for each drum in DMD. Also works in the mixer.
You can also create your own custom kits, and save them to the Library, and they'll show up under "User" presets. I do the same thing for my own electronic I use on all my songs.

Great thanks for making this
this is the greatest logic course on TH-cam, thanks for the help! is the step sequencer basically a matrix-view version of piano roll?
I learned something

Just open a new drum sequence/copy paste your sequence and delete everything but the hats
