This is awesome! The last tip for importing loops into Drum Designer 👌- I remember 15 years ago having to use Recycle (which you had to buy) and having to set all the transient points manually 😭
YOU WROTE A BOOK, YO THAT SOOO AWESOME HOMEGIRL, HEY I FORGOT HOW TO USE THIS AND THIS VIDEO REALLY PUT ME BACK ON BOARD, YOU SEE I NORMALLY WORK IN ANALOG GEAR MPC AND LOGIC...THANKS AGAIN, RESPECT FOR WRITING THAT BOOK THAT A HUUUUGE ACCOMPLISHESMENT 🫡
I saw that Image Sounds has 2 packages: Pro Percussion Bundle and Pro Drums Bundle, packages that have the drum samples placed in folders, each samples has its own folder where the elements are unpacked: kick, snare, hats, etc. I like this kind of construction because i can take the elements to work with them separately in daw, i always know that will matched, it's like having a stem separator on the kick samples.
love the way u explain stuff. just like a mate telling you. i usually get scared looking at a new window when it opens, but u make it so simple. thanks
Great video Seids, thank you! What if, for example, I purchased a drum kit that already includes samples (Battery for example), but I want to use Logic's Drum Designer instead. Is there a way to load the kit I purchased directly into the Drum Designer?
I want to use the drum maschine designer so bad as well as the step sequencer but unfortunately Logic's browser just kills it for me. I just stick with Maschine when programing my drums because its so much faster than dmd and step sequencer.
Saw a neat trick on a video the other day. They built a drum pattern with piano roll, but the hihats had that lame EDM sound and pattern. Then they used the Logic Session drummer and had it create just a hihat. It had a real sounding hihats and very human like pattern and feel. They took the Session Drummer hihat part and added to the piano roll drums and it was so much better. I like the idea of just using the Session Drummer for one part of a drum beat.
Hello !!! My first time on ur channel. nice video !!! Thks for sharing, u are saving me a lot of time !!! I have a question, do you know if the QUALITY of the sound of any loop, (beats) bought from any online store will damage the sound, if we use them on the Drum machine Designer ? Cause usually many loops on sale cames mix already, do you think the de drum machine will damage the sound ?
That’s cool. Suppose I buy a drum sample pack, it usually contains many different samples of the “same drum” to avoid each hit being identical. They usually also include samples that are graded for different velocities. How do I use all this in DMD? Is that even possible? I think it’s called “round robining” and velocity mapping.
I think you can make a sampler instrument out of them and then load that sampler instrument to play on a key in drum machine designer. It’s an extra step but I think it’s possible
Try adding an instrument channel with ‘no instrument’ selected. Then go to the new channel and click on ‘instrument’ and you should see drum machine designer as an option.
That's because you used Drum KIT Designer. Drum Machine Designer is another thing that, for some reason I never understood, is way lower in the menu. You should see it below all the other instruments.
@@GManWrites when someone says free daw, that's free. period. drum designer comes with logic, it's not free. even in mac world, you can't use it with garageband. same with granulator from ableton. i can't use it in logic, so it's not free. comes with ableton.

Had no idea how to save my patches. I appreciate the Logic content, Seids.
Same! Super excited as I continue to explore 🎉
Your explanations are well organized and very helpful. Thank you!

me watching you pull samples out of thin air 😱😱
amazing videos all the time
Thank you.
Thanks for video!
Gonna try it! Hope it complement my AD 2

that was really cool.I just wonder where you had the splice samples and how you drew them in.
Most excellent! Thanks 😸

Session drummer does a great job with hi hat parts, I have used it like that too and it’s pretty realistic.
That’s a very cool idea 👍🏻
Thanks, love your videos
OH GOD THAT TRICK WITH DRUM LOOPS INTO DRUM MACHINE DESIGNER ! I'll never watch a video from you that doesn't teach me something cool !

It’s all I have used since I got pro 11

Show us how to tap tempo in logic!
I get an option for "Drum Kit Designer" and it looks like a drum kit, nothing like your interface. What am I missing? Thanks for your videos!

@@steuph1976 Thank you so much!!!! I never noticed it before.

Seids you are not support me...😢😢😢
this is not free, comes with logic. supermassive is free. a free plugin is free to use with a free daw. sorry seids
Yup it's behind the pay wall of owning a Mac, free is when it works on Windows, Mac and Linux.
