It was neat to see that clip from 1981.....Jason was actually in the opening credits of Three's Company- by accident! In the 1981-1984 opening credits, he walked into the shot with the goat where Joyce DeWitt was petting it - she laughed at the incident thinking it was cute and they kept it in the opening credits. That little boy in the overalls is Jason Ritter!

Great talented family. John's dad was Tex Ritter, the popular country singer, who died in 1974 of a heart attack. I remember the 3's Company episode when John played his twin brother who was a cowboy and it made me think of his dad, who was a great actor & country singer. Remember "Filipino Baby?"
I am 45, & John Ritter was one of my most favorite actors growing up. He was naturally funny without any effort. He played every role as though he was doing a biography movie of his own life. He was so great at each role & very convincing to. Not many had his ability to play anything & everything like he did. Miss his acting very much. All his shows & movies were classics. Threes Company as Jack Tripper, Man of Miracles, 8 Simple Rules, amongst many others. Loved them all. :)
John Ritter was not only a genius of physical comedy, but a master of farce and talented actor, period (Sling Blade). When I watched Three’s Company re-runs in the early 80s I was 12, and still innocent enough to not understand all of the adult humor of the show. Looking back and watching re-runs on Pluto (God bless it) I still laugh my ass off, but with from an adult perspective.
Seeing Jason on tv will always make us feel like his Dad is still here. Great feeling & the best thing for us all to have as a great reminder of 1 of the best actors, ever. :)
My husband passed away in January of 2019 from aortic dissection, which is the same thing that John Ritter passed away from so I feel like I have a special connection to him and to Jason Ritter. I've met Amy Yasbeck and she was incredibly sweet and now I'd love to meet Jason as well.
