USRA Round 1, February 2023, Mesquite Nevada desert racing

The first round of the USRA desert racing series was held in Mesquite Nevada (actually Bunkerville), February 4, 2023. The course was about 18 miles and was done 4 times. The race was hosted by the Buzzards MC.
Ride along with Mike on his '23 250 XC in the Expert class to enjoy the rocks, sands, whoops, g-outs, torture, and fun.

8th overall is impressive for anyone...but for a 50 year old? That's just crazy! Great ride!
Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me want a 250XC...if I get one, I'm going to make sure KTM sends you a commission. haha

Do you find 4th to be a tad too big a gap from 3rd?
Crazy how XC 4th is same as SX 5th.

I haven't observed any concerns about the gap from 3rd to 4th. But I have read that some people like a 50 tooth rear rather than a 51, and I may try that someday just for kicks and giggles.

If I pick up a new XC, I have a new 48t DirtTricks I cound use but may need to go down to 13 in front.
I gear for cornering normally.
