Well that was fun. Mettaton NEO is probably the biggest animation I've ever made, but I think it was worth it. Also, I've asked Sans to talk in the end of the video, because I'm so exhausted.

Okay, let me say something that would probably have this scenario make sense. I'm gonna start off with an example. Sans REALLY wants vengance for his brother and all the other lives lost in the genocide run. If this is the case, then you would expect him to throw UNDODGABLE attacks at you. Yet, he doesn't. It's only as a last resort where he breaks the laws of the game. Key Word: Laws. What I'm trying to say is that the combat system in-game could be a ritual of sorts, with rules to follow. One of these rules could be NOT to have a drastic enough upperhand that the enemy cannot win. As such, the yellow soul option could've been activated by having Mettaton sneakily nab your cellphone and make this minor upgrade without you noticing, and then slipping it back into your pocket.

This has to be my favorite version of the NEO fight. I especially love it when Mettaton blasts his ...arm cannon? And I love the leg attacks! Gosh those legs are gorgeous! Nice animation man!
Oh my god. This would have made the actual genocide route so much better. I know the 'unsatisfying kills' part is important to the whole vibe, but it would have been a really nice pleasant challenge.

I really dug the way the heart moved around and how the player took advantage and rapid fired on it when it was in range. It made it really feel like it was a game being played by someone.
