My Mixing-Mindset-Tip is: Make your mix that the listener wants to turn up the volume and not to make it „hit hard“. Cause with the „hit hard mindset“ I always made my bass way to long. And I think asking your self if you want to crank up the volume really helped me with mixing
I think the reason why kicks hit harder in the playlist is bc it automatically set the velocity as high as it can. When u place kicks in the piano roll it's not max velocity right away
@@bunitzm in fact yes, of course. In fl studio for audio samples its just volume. Its generally just volume expect plugin who support velocity response. Like a piano who doesent just gets louder with more velocity.
Thank you kind sir! My number one tip to the community (more intermediate producers) is going back to listen to your old stuff and also listen to other upcoming producer's music. You will often find that there are couple of things you could share with them to help them improve their own experiences. This has helped me a lot with self doubt, especially when struggling to earn money. You are very ofen tempted to think that you suck but in reality you have so much value you have accumulated over time (consistency). To those that are coming up, yes you will feel the fatigue, you will feel like you are not making any progress but give it time! Time IS on your side!but only if you put in the work, wisely. Like Jack said...PLAN! and be CONSISTENT! love y'all)))
my tip is to keep making beats, reaching out to people. update your sound library for new inspiration and to avoid beat block and lastly have fun with music
Networking!!!!!! this is so Important because this can lead to you collabing with producers who know bigger producers that can eventually lead to you getting placements.
Thanks Jack and the rest of the producers that collaborated on the video. Absolutely love the gem tips! My number one tip after 5 years of making beats would be to just stop overthinking everything. You can't cheat the process of it all so just make what you love and have fun doing it. If you don't, learning is way harder and getting burnt out is wayyyy easier.
Pro Tip: once you're done with yo beat song ect, if you have a jumbled session Merge similar patterns, Create empty tracks Then split merged patterns & organize & color code your sessions. Doing this gives me peace of mind when i press Render All Playlist Tracks
4:14 put kick in the playlist is not « harder » it’s just fl put the velocity of the kick at max, it’s the same things than using piano rolls and level up the velocity, 4:51 is not phase issue maaaaannn, try it put the same kick in the playlist + piano rolls you will see
@@prayforusbk yes, put the kick in the playlist is +3dB than putting in the piano rolls with the base velocity, if you put the velocity alls the way up you have the same results +3dB for each. Arrangement views is not « harder » or « louder » it’s the same thing
i don't get how anyone could even think that this has anything to do with phase issues. another example of people throwing "professional" sounding words without knowing what they actually mean
One thing that worked for me at least a bit is actually rapping on my beats and releasing it on either my channel or a separate one, i noticed that people are more likely to listen to an actual song rather than just a beat. Also that way, i can get performing gigs or just go to hiphop events and promote my channel even further
Me personally has been close to giving up multiple times n im not as consistent as i used to be. But that random sale i get every so often which isnt extremely often. But i do get random sales from my beatstars n it does jus give me that little push to keep going. Or that one beat that does well on youtube. It feels amazing to see the progress. I havent uploaded in ab 5 months n have still gained over 200 subs n gotten a few sales. So really it is possible with consistency n talent n the drive to keep going. Im on my 5th year almost 6th of producing n it has been one hell of a journey. Much love n luck to you all. 💯💯❤️
Let me give one more tip to y'all : Mindset, this may seem something obvious but really ask yourself this question: why do you make music , what drives you to make music? Whatever reason it is, it all comes down to one thing: you got to Love making beats , You got to love making shitty beats. You got to get your mindset right. If you do it for the success, it is not the right mindset. You got to love making music and everything that comes with it. When you love something , consistency will be there and success will come with it.
My tip is really simple, Do what you love! Stop forcing yourself to making the same beats over and over, make some change, try diffrent thing, maybe you like something else like mixing or maybe you want to make a plugin and make buisness around, who knows? Remember you can be top producer, be a millioner but if you not doing what you really love you will never be happy.
Damn. From this video i can see you have come a long away I do want to leave this comment just incase their are others like me My problem for the last 3 years making music has been connecting and finding a community of great producers such as yourself and everyone in this video To really learn from I seek guidance mutually and privately If there is any way or road you could show me and others on how to find such a community willing to actually talk Such as a producer Meet up type thing Please let me know. Thank you.
I'm not a producer I do it for passion and fun but I see that my beats start to like it I only do it for 1 year and a half every day and I am 16 you say that if I continue on this path I will have the opportunity to sell a little? and anyway good video jack made me change my mindset

(o_O)Thank you sir! That's definitely a game changer for me! God bless you
What do you mean made your bass way to long. Are u saying to use bass that fades out quicker?
I think the reason why kicks hit harder in the playlist is bc it automatically set the velocity as high as it can. When u place kicks in the piano roll it's not max velocity right away
Right and there are still the same phasing issues it's just that the kick kind of wins the fight
Velocity means just volume in this case, just for notice
@@Ignorezbeats2 velocity is more than volume
@@bunitzm in fact yes, of course. In fl studio for audio samples its just volume.

Well said...and the last one is the most important of all)
The producer scene on TH-cam is the most supportive out there. love it stay hussling

Lmfao I went to the comments section just to look for this comment

To really learn from
I seek guidance mutually and privately
If there is any way or road you could show me and others on how to find such a community willing to actually talk
