What was the salary of CIA in India
I just passed the third and final part of my CIA exam this past Monday. I am now an official CIA. I passed all three of my exams on the first attempt and your videos helped me to study- so I just wanted to say thank you.

@@BecomingBossC thanks for the reply. Do you offer any mentoring? what will you advise someone like me. I had my MBA back in 2016, never had any certification. I am thinking about working towards a career in audit or compliance. From my research so far I am interested in CIA, CFE, CAMS…but I feel like CIA will require more experience on field,which I don’t have yet. Do you think those other certifications can help? Do you have any suggestions?. Will appreciate your response

Congrats on passing the exam and reaching 1K Subs. 2 Questions for you: Did you feel the CIA exam was considerably easier than CPA exam? Does the test show you how much time you have remaining since you are not allowed to wear a watch in the testing center?

1. I felt like the CPA exam helped prepare me for the CIA exam. The content definitely overlaps quite a bit when it comes to similar professional standards, the financial management piece in part 3, and the basics of auditor roles and responsibilities. On the other hand, the IT section in part 3 was totally new for me.
2. Yes, the test screen shows you the remaining time you have left. The clock also turns into red text once you only have 5 minutes remaining to prompt you to speed up.

Honestly, I was not very familiar with Gleim. Wiley had the video lectures, exam study planner, study book and focus notes that I like. Once I passed the first exam using Wiley, I stuck with their study system. I have heard great things about Gleim as well. Thanks for the question!

Congratulations on attaining your CIA designation. I am about to begin my CIA journey and I see you used Wiley study material and passed all three parts at first attempt. I am caught between Gleim and Wiley - but obviously your video is convincing me otherwise🤔😅. Any tips on how I can prep myself for the journey ahead? I also work fulltime and will only have weekends and holidays to study
Can you wake up early to study? Or maybe study during lunch time on the weekdays? Consistent, daily studying will help you pass and retain information. I have heard great things about Gleim...but Wiley worked for me! 🙂

Thank you, Cody! I may publish a video about that. What I love most about internal audit is the opportunity to learn about various departments and functions within my company. Also internal audit is multi-faceted; you can specialize in SOX, IT, operations, compliance, etc. The career potential is endless!

You're welcome. Thanks for tuning in! After receiving the CIA, I have received multiple job offers (some in internal audit and some outside of internal audit). I am still in the same role I was before passing the exam, but I plan to transition to a new role within the year. :) It affects everyone differently...but it gives you more credibility as an internal auditor overall.

Hi, while taking the membership or while registering for the level1/2/3 exams, will IIA provide the study materials for the registered level of exam or should we but study materials separately from Gleim or Wiley? Or should we but the materials of IIA by paying separately for the study materials?
Hi, great questions! The IIA will NOT provide study materials for free. You can purchase their study materials from the IIA website or purchase study materials from third party companies, such as Wiley and Gleim. Hope this helps! 😊

To summarize, there are many companies that offer printed study materials, such as Wiley, the Institute of Internal Auditors, Gleim, etc. Personally, I used Wiley for parts 1 and 2. Then I used Wiley and the IIA's learning system for part 3.
Hi Boss C, I have done my masters in MBA HR but when i register for IIA membership I see Degree as MBA (Finance) & MBA/PGDM/PGDBM/MMS- management.. should I go for the second option??

Great question! Working as an internal auditor helped me pass the CIA exam. I highly recommend it because you may also need professional experience to earn your CIA designation.

There are multiple options for study materials. The Institute of Internal Auditors has study materials, as well as Wiley, Gleim, and Surgent. I would do a quick search engine check and find the one that can cater to your study needs.

You can purchase study books from various companies and organizations, such as the Institute of Internal Auditors, Wiley, Gleim, and others.
What is the least duration one can complete the course in ???
The study duration depends on your job experience, educational background, and other factors. I think if you focus and study hard, you can certainly pass all three parts within a year. If you are a Certified Public Accountant, you may want to explore the CIA Challenge Exam, which is a condensed version of the exam.

Yes, it is possible to complete your CIA exams while working. However, keep in mind that there are professional experience requirements.
