As a person that plays Sound Voltex on higher difficulties and lower speeds, I get this chirping too. The funniest part is that, in a lot of cases, it's people that can't clear/don't play at all that are the loudest.
I personally think that it's mostly just up to preference since your inputs ultimately don't change. Though if i had to comment on what i myself think of the note speeds: fast note speeds usually have you reacting more, while slow speeds have you challenge your comprehension of it all instead.

note speed does not mean "harder" actually. It's just the note speed, not the difficulty. I play on Expert and Master and people are just mad that I don't adjust how fast the notes are approaching, it has nothing to do with skill.
I guess their brains can't handle seeing notes on the screen. 10+ limits the notes on screen to 6 or less. These people would be terrified of things like guitar hero or console Vocaloid games where you can have dozens on the screen.
I wonder if it's because commenters think that the players in question don't realize how much higher note speed can help with readability and to a lesser extent timing. Or how they could be capping off their skill potential (which... eh??? Maybe in extremes.) But if they are clearing 29s or whatever top difficulties are in other rhythm games, then they already know what they are doing anyway and as such it shouldn't matter what settings they play with.
Meanwhile: me getting motionsickness while watching that speed cause of its speed. I failed at the kingom hearts rythm game demo already with 10% of that speed. 🫥

Note speed is not difficulty! It's basically how fast the notes approach / the distance between them. This is not about difficulty!
