It’s been exactly two years since silent noise came out and it’s still my favourite song you’ve made (though follow my voice is quickly catching up haha) First of all it is a beautiful song with a pastel instru that gets your heart thumping even after having listened to it hundreds of times probably (and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t listen to music much) and lyrics that are tragically beautiful, deep, and personal. Silent noise really pushed your skills, and you pulled it off so well. But beyond that, this song means something to me because it was the first original that i got to witness start to finish. It went hand in hand with a lovely model redesign, and the subathon of silent noise’s release was amazing fun and something any older bugbyte would remember fondly I’m proud to call you a friend, nano, and every time i hear this song (after jamming out to it) i think back on those times. Thank you, for this gem of a song, and for everything.

When I was introduced into this game, I was so amazed by the fact that my friend who invited me knew this popular Vocaloid song... then I started playing actively and not so soon, I learned the true about why was she so obsessed with this song... Lovely parody cover, not regretting listening to its instrumental for the 58973955239 time.

In an interview, Hachi revealed that he was hoping that Sand Planet could rile everybody up, causing them to produce even more songs, fangirl/boy even harder, and show everyone that vocaloid fans were still ferociously passionate. Basically he was saying “it looks LONELY AND DEAD in here! Who’s going to prove me wrong, huh? Let’s hear it! I dare you!!” As someone who was there at the time, it worked! Sand Planet dropped and what felt like was dying (tbf Sand Planet was a perfect representation of how things were at least in the west) sprouted back to life. I feel like the three year gap between songs is a bit long to still be holding that grudge since Hachi’s intentions became common knowledge, but I’m sure Hachi would be pleased his plan worked so well 😅 I also never read the lyrics to Sand Planet as Hachi saying things were a _lost cause,_ just that everything felt vacuous and wilted _at that point time_ and how it would stay if something didn’t change. Syudou said the diss was made with love at least haha!
