In the US how do you use bitcoin to pay for things when you have a capital gain every time you convert to cash depending on your basis? Will Strike send a 1099 at the end of the year like cash app does?
Omg, there is an app in every country which you pay without using cash. In US they have Venmo and Cash app. In china they have Wechat and Alipay. In mexico, they have Mercado Pago. In Philippines, its GCASH. If Strike suceeds, this could replace all of them globally

Bitcoin doesn't need any action to boost the price. It is a unique coin as well as the mother ship of cryptocurrency which is considered as digital gold, and is used as an asset store for big investors. Does Strike need KYC for on/off rails? If we can buy and sell BTC, then transfer to cash on Strike, that's what BTC meant to me when I bought it from a person out of the back of a van. Needing to use an exchange to buy, sell and cash out sucks.
They ask for name, email and DOB. There's account limits, so I guess if you stay under the KYC regulations in your country, that's all you need? It's quite restrictive in a lot of countries. It's an impossible situation, stick with the law and have severe restrictions, or not comply and get closed down.
@@sharpvidtube do you know what the account limits are? I'd imagine if this gains use in the US, they'll have to comply with KYC, like the exchanges must.

I'd like that too, but let,s be fair, Strike should be distributed to the South first because enabling of access to money for people in the most empoverished parts in the world.

We should be referring all transaction verbiage with Satoshis and then refer the equivalent dollar amount. IE: It costs 2000 BtcSats that is equaled to x$....

Why is not available in Canada?
The northern hemisphere (where you and I are residing), except the US, is excluded. Still a lot of people. Reason obviously being to provide to people with poor banking or worse in the the global South better access to real money.
Knowing how bad the economic situation is developing in the Global North both of itself and with regards to other global initiatives like the growing brics area, I can't imagine there are no actions going on to include the North to Strike access, eventually, though the North is ridiculously over-regulated (especially western nation states) and people there are supposed to be savvy enough to set up Lightning wallets with which transfers between Strike's wallet Lightning addresses and Lightning addresses from any other particular Lightning wallet are (now) possible.

Strike is now available to 3 billion people. They can easily buy USD or Bitcoin, or transfer between them. It uses the lightning network, so doesn't have the higher fees that on-chain transactions have.
