I have a popup tent trailer and I have been modifying it throughout the years. I have been thinking about starting my own trailer company using everything I have learned camping and building my trailer. Your trailer is exactly how I was thinking of building my new trailer. It looks like you have the best trailer on the market. Everything looks like it was designed by someone who really camps and studied different problems. Great Job. Mark U.S.A.
I'm glad we still make excellent products in this country. Keep up the good work. And reading some of the comments here, you should seriously consider looking for an importer/reseller in the US. It could be the next best export out of Australia.
Great video and I can see why you won the award 3 times in a row. Super impressive set up and features for what initially looks like a too small a camper.
This camper is simply amazing! I am in awe of its multiple qualities. I am impressed by the Australian engineering that went into this! I have been curious about campers and camping more often, (being that I am not one to usually do this), but from a purely design standpoint, you guys did a grand job!
I know it may cost a pretty penny, but all in all, just looking at this beautiful machine makes me cry tears of joy inside. Awesome Job to you all! I am subscribed for sure! :) Wonderful presentation as well!
I'm writing from the U.S. My wife and I will probably never be able to afford your trailer. We mostly camp in tents. (Sometimes in Isuzu Troopers when we had those.) Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. Others will try to copy your design. My advice is:Never compromise your quality to compete. Never offer a "second line" or build trailers under another brand name. There will always be people who have the wherewithal to buy the best. Let your competitors build trailers for everyone else.

I think if you replaced the awning with an ostrich wing, added an air compressor and had that ladder fold away; you guys would have the perfect camper with the ultimate in quick setup and ease of use!Great work on the 2016 model, I'm keen to see what updates you'll bring with the TH.

35,000 is not what it used to be. Furthermore it's not all upfront it can be done on installment plans like most everything these days. So yes, a lot of people would. I would and looks like a few others would. So that's now 3 to 1 would buy it. That in and of itself should suggest the marketability of this product Luvmyctd.

Good looking trailer. Agree with previous comment - Good attention to detail. Its just a pity with your tent setup timing that you don't show how long it takes to add all the other items needed especial in bad weather. It could triple the time taken to actually setup up the tent. Where does the rain water run to on the kitchen side of the tent? I assume to the sides?

Man why can't manufacturers in North America figure this out for Canada and US! I love the trailer and the truck pulling it. We live in off road country this is perfect for remote fishing and hunting trips.
It's just too much money for too little at $35k. I camp completely off the grid and dry in BAJA for weeks to months and a tent works just fine for me. This is great but for that kind of money I will ruff it and spend the cash on staying away longer or just use my 43 foot Fiberglass completely enclosed air-con / heated toy hauler with a real bed, full sized frig/freezer, 54" TV and gas fire place.
So this is somewhere between and not for everyone.

This trailer would be able to go places that 43 footer could never dream of going and it's more comfortable than just a tent as well lol.
+TheAmericanUhate --talk about stating the obvious about the 40 footer. As for the tent,,,,,that's debatable especially when your tent costs more than your off road 4X4 rig.
2003evodave You said 43 footer in your first comment and I replied the same, now it's a 40 footer? Yes it's obvious, also obvious that you missed the entire point of this trailer they make. It's not for everyone though, it's for the more money than brains club. Most families would just buy a normal RV and use it.

With the new tent and bedding arrangement, this is now a winner. The old style "rooftop tent" was what originally put me off these, and I was seriously looking at one of the South African imports. This trailer is now far superior to (and cheaper than) its South African competitors. There is simply no other trailer on the market in Australia that comes close to this.
I'd love to see how this works on the Rubicon Trail.
Curious, why do you need mud tires for a trailer? It's not like it's going to drive you out of a mud hole.

Is that why you do not need guns? If you were concerned about wild dogs getting your kids. Do firearm storage laws apply while camping? Is it self defense to defend you and your kids with a gun? Would that be illegal? Or is it only people killing you or your kids you must use ancient weapons for. (not that OZ's legal guns are not a step above the flintlock musket) Would you have to use a boomerang or knife or spear? Is it cool to shoot the wild dogs if they are not attacking with your bolt action shotgun as that is not self defense? No offense just curious.

I just don't understand why tent trailer + off-road means you HAVE to have your stove and sink in a slide-out drawer. It's nice to have tables deploying from the sides of the trailer if I WANT to set up, outside, but I want setting up, outside, to be an easy OPTION, but not the starting place. When that tent first deploys, you should be able to start right in cooking, inside the enclosure. Those decades-old basic tent-trailer designs by Jayco and Rockwood, are simply the best for getting shelter up, quickly and starting your activities, quickly. The places I'd be taking mine would tend to be high latitude, high altitude, and deep into fall and winter. Early in the spring (The absolute BEST time to be out, because it's just too nasty for most people)...
For me, summertime camping is just a small part of it. So I want to have shelter around the cooking area, first thing. I also want air-conditioning, dammit! LOL! But moving a stove or setting up a stove, outside, if I've got flip-down or slide-out tables. Keeping the main sink, in-board, also reduces risk of freezing, because I'd be using mine in freezing weather. That'd be half the fun.
Be nice to have an old beater to experiment with. I'd do stupid stuff like just add a layer of foam insulation to the outside and spray-paint something funky on top of that. IDGAF what it looks like! LOL!

Some people might think that I am stupid, but why the hell would you like to pull a trailer behind you, when you can just build up a tent on top of your ordinary offroader?
Aus dollars are 1 to .75 right now, and at 40K for these trailers, you could easily just buy some extra trucks and have other folks drive them, buy some tents and truck bed organizers, and STILL have loads of cash left over.
Lower the prices AND make it available in the US. Thx.
All the negative comments, I do think the price is a bit high, however....with all the foldouts, storage, awning, 30 ga of water, extra fuel storage, grill, I could go on and on....I think its worth it. You don't have to think about shit, just grab some food, fuel, water, and propane tanks, and your set for a week!
