I appreciate it! I know someone who journals daily and seems to benefit heavily from it. I don't know if I could do it that often but maybe I could start weekly or even monthly? We shall see.
@@DarrenNaylor Just start by keeping the journal in view and writing when you feel you have something to say or "get off your chest". You will find that you'll start doing it more and more often. The key is then going back after some time has passed and reading your entries. If you are consistent then you will see what you were struggling with and the progression of what you tried, what worked, what didn't and then the end result. It helps you to know yourself and be better prepared when struggles come in the future to know what to do and what NOT to do (which is sometimes the more important thing). All the best, Darren. Hey Darren! This is a great reminder for me. I usually always do a visualization goals board but haven't this year, and I think I am seeing the effects of it. It's been a rough year after being laid off just before Christmas and unable to find work. I came across your channel in May and found it to be a good encouragement. I'm setting out on the TH-cam journey at 59 and it's scary. But I boldly just posted my intro video this week. I appreciate your content and am inspired by all you've accomplished. I have a daughter who is struggling in the film industry after graduating from LA Film, so I know how tough it is. She's even got more of a disadvantage being a handful of female camera ops. The only note I'll give you for now is to post all of your TH-cam videos in landscape going forward unless it's a TH-cam short. This platform lives off of landscape videos which is a nice change from the normal instagram and tiktok vertical videos so take advantage. If you have any advice for a small creator just starting out, I would super appreciate it! :) In terms of goals haha I set the goal of 1 video per week for the next year and aiming for ~100 subscribers in the first 3 months and then ~1k subscribers in the first 6 months! Like the video! Recommend S.M.A.R.T goals, we use it at work, particularly ‘specific’ and ‘measurable’ for example what does ‘more videos’ actually look like? Is it one more, ten more, so it’s more measurable as a success or not and measurable through the process. It helps me a lot.
Your S - tier, Tip - Pick either shorts or long form content, don't do both on single channel as from shorts you will most likely get bunch of Randoms who won't dedicate enough time for your long ones unless you are a streamer whose active daily 8+. IDK you can try or experiment like posting shorts on different channel & long ones here for a month or two and see the results for yourself. Ohh and when uploading shorts just uncheck the "notify to subscribers" give this a try for 3-4 shorts.
