- For many nurses, the question, “why become a nurse?” is an easy one to answer. Rachell Rosales felt the impact of nursing from an early age when she watched her grandmother battle polycystic kidney disease. Rachell witnessed her grandmother doing dialysis at home throughout her childhood, and this inspired Rachell to get involved in nursing. She wanted to be able to make an impact on the lives of patients.
Before becoming a nurse, Rachell worked as a receptionist at a primary care clinic. While she enjoyed interacting with patients, she desired a way to make a greater impact. She wanted to support patients in the good and challenging moments, and nursing provides the opportunity to do just that.
Rachell chose to earn her degree through Felician University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in New Jersey. Felician offers both a 16-month Hybrid ABSN and an 18-month On-Ground ABSN. Students with a prior non-nursing bachelor’s degree or at least 60 non-nursing college credits can earn a nursing degree sooner than would be possible in a traditional nursing program.
To learn more about the ABSN program, simply fill out our online form at absn.felician...., and our admissions counselors will get in touch. Why become a nurse? To make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
