SARAH hello! I just wanted to say thank you for your videos, I failed my NCLEX Aug. 23rd and I had to figure out a new way to study I selected my new testing date Oct. 18, I studied majority of your videos in the last few weeks before the test and the day of the test i thought i failed, but woke up this morning and I am an official REGISTERED NURSE AMEN
Congratulations Jamika RN!!! That is so VERY AWESOME!!! I'm so happy for you. I hope you celebrate! I'm so glad the videos helped. Best wishes in your new career as a nurse. I pray that you touch and save many lives during your time as a nurse :)
It’s one of the best decisions I ever made! Such a wide variety of options, you’ll always have a job, the pay is good and each day you make a difference 😊
Congrats on a your fame in the nursing education world. My instructor recommended your videos and it seems like all the nurses at my hospital know about you. You are a nurse educator celebrity.
Wow, really!!?? That is really neat! I'm honored to be able to help you all. I know how tough the journey is to becoming a nurse, and I just want to try to make that journey a little more bearable. Thanks for the kind comment and for watching my videos:)
Hi Sarah, this is Rica. I just want to say thank you for such great work you're doing in helping newly grad nurses. A very big thank you I just pass the NCLEX. You have contributed to me passing. Many, many blessing to you. You have explained everything so clearly along with what i was thought in school I was able to use that knowledge and pass. Be bless and once again thank you.
Congratulations Nurse Rica :) I'm so very happy for you and to hear this. I know you have been watching my videos for a while now and have been studying hard. I'm beyond honored that my videos helped. I wish you the absolute best in your new career as a nurse. I hope you touch and save many lives during your time as a nurse. Again, thank you for updating me and letting me know....so encouraging to me :)
Great video Sarah! I've always had the upmost respect and admiration for nurses. An episode of MASH comes to mind when the nurses of 4077th were shipped out due to a possible offensive by the enemy and only the doctors remained. Of course there was utter mayhem in the operating room and elsewhere, lol. I've always considered nurses as the backbone of the medical system but often they are under-appreciated. I was a Medic in Vietnam and after treating wounded in the field, i knew that once that chopper flew off, that solder would get the best of care possible. When you're in the hospital, for any reason, there is nothing quite as comforting as the smile your nurse gives you when checking in on you to see how you're doing or knowing that if you need help, your nurse is just a click of a button away. Thanks for all you do and God bless.
Thank you very much for the very kind comment, Tony! I agree that nurses definitely play a huge role in maintaining the chaos during crazy situations. We are definitely the backbone of the healthcare system. However, with that said, we couldn't do our job properly without our other team members (doctors, NPs, nursing assistants, clericals, PT, OT, RT, RDs, phlebotomy, transport, etc). Thank you again for the comment and for your dedication to my channel.
Sarah, your videos and education presentations have been phenomenal. I've used your videos to guide me before all the readings. The past few years have been a blast, and thank you for your help, graduation only a few months away! You've molded great nurses. Much respect!
Hello Steven :) Wow, thanks for the comment. It makes my day knowing these videos have helped you through your program. CONGRATS to you that you are almost done. So AWESOME! Thank you for watching this video as well and for the comment.
I've just recommended your channel to one of my friends who wants to become a nurse :) Your videos are amazing and I can't thank you enough for being such a great person and sharing your knowledge with us ❤❤❤
You're most welcome :) Hang in there....I promise all that studying will be worth it in the end. Thank you for all the positive comments you have left on my videos.
I will hopefully be a RN in two years! Currently studying and just finishing up my first year. I had some doubts along the way of my first year but this just reminds me how much I do want to be a Nurse! You also helped a lot with my study. Thanks :)
Sarah, that was SO very touching the nursing profession really does span from the womb to the tomb..and each aspect and level of such said profession is a privilege and an honor to be included within an exclusive circle!! I am in Level 2 of 4 and it is your videos and practice test along with my curriculum that has assisted in valuable and unmatched skills!! I have grown and learned so much in such a short timeframe..I now thinking and feeling more like a nurse!! Thanks Sarah!!
Hello :) Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the video. I love how you wrote "from the womb to the tomb". I think that phrase will stay with me forever. Those six words just sum up reason number 1. Wow, it just seems like yesterday you were starting your program. Before I know it you will be saying that you are about to take NCLEX lol. I'm so glad you like the lectures and tests. Thank you for using them and for the comment....really enjoyed reading it :)
Hi, at what point can you decide you decide your specialty? right away or all students have to take the course and the continuing education for the specialty?
Hey miss Sarah, can you make a short video on Medical benefits and retirement as a Nurse and how to better prepare for those things. Please, Thank you!
I am currently in college to get my associate's degree and become a RN, I remember back in high school doing clinicals it's very exiting to me to be able to help people🤗 +RegisteredNurseRN
Hello :) That is so awesome you are going for your associates! All that hard work is so worth it :) I wish you the best in your program, and thank you for watching this video.
hi Sarah! Thanks a lot for the video. I just have one question. Is it true that nowadays they need nurses with a Bachelor degree? It's like there is no point to apply for associate degree? Thank you.
Hi Sarah, this is Rica. I just want to say thank you for such great work you're doing in helping newly grad nurses. A very big THANK you I just pass the NCLEX. You have contributed to me passing the boards. Many, many blessing to you. If you need any donations or supplies please let me know because you're doing a marvelous work. You have explained everything so clearly that I was able to use that knowledge along with what I was thought in school to pass. Be bless and once again thank you.
Hello! I will recieve my bachelor in nursing in Norway in december. In norway we only have one type of nurse, which is through a bachelor degree, and we will become a RN when we finish the degree. What is the difference in the different «titles» as a nurse, such as RN and LPN for example? Thank you!
RNs have a wider scope of practice and have more leadership positions. They are essentially allowed to perform full patient care, whereas LPNs are very limited in what they can do. RNs oversee LPNs and are superior (in rank). In the U.S., most hospitals hire RNs to perform patient care. You can have an Associate's degree (2-3 year education) or Bachelor's degree (4 year education) to become an RN, although most hospitals are now requiring RNs to have a bachelor's degree. LPNs are more likely to work in outpatient clinics. LPNs are not paid as much as RNs are. This website may help: www.allnursingschools.com/articles/registered-nurse-vs-licensed-practical-nurse/
Aww I miss you Sarah. I really like watching your videos so much. I was wondering if associate can pick any area to work too? Like they can be ob/gyn ..
Hello Cari :) I hope all is well for you. I miss seeing you around here. I know you've been busy with school. Yes, OB/GYN hire RNs with associate degrees. I suggest looking at local job boards in your area and see what the education requirements are for their current job positions. Most will say if the prefer a RN with a BSN or ADN degree. If they don't, email them and ask.
