I imagine that players that were standing out individually, perhaps with branding in the back of their mind, would make a player like chambers appear more in the background as a role player. Outside of his specific skills he doesn’t do the the things did. This is my view but I can appreciate his talents and understand his abilities as a pf. It’s kind of unfair how that marketing and branding is a major part but it’s the reality, especially w tv. John Stockton is similar to chambers but stands out in a way more than chambers and it’s possibly for being a point guard? Leader position type of player. Also, there are players on the Sonics(my favorite team) such as Derek Mickey, or Nate McMillan who are quite good players but don’t really do anything to stand out… now when I see the players it apppears many are after the branding but then it’s as if they are appearing similar and not standing out because of this? In jerry McGuire Cuba goodings character finally does a touchdown dance at the end, breaking from the normal reserved manner, and his agent(Tom cruises) was wanting him to do such a thing for a better contract so perhaps the agents are pushing players to do things that make them stand out?
I think? Chambers was the Andy Messerschmitt and Dave McNally of the NBA? Those two brought free agency to major league baseball and Chambers did a similar thing leaving Seattle for Phoenix with a huge contract for back then. If you compare Chambers to Chris Mullen it makes no sense for Chambers NOT to be in the HOF. Plus some of the players being put in now? Ginobli? Hey? Scottie Pippen? Once Jordan retired Pippen took Chicago nowhere. Chambers could and did burn Bird and Magic among others on the court. But, life is often a personality contest and nothing else. Sadly! I think Chambers was looked at as a snooty moody "pretty boy!" This was and is not fair I think. Anyway, the "kids' today do not know Chambers and will probably never get in the HOF unless somebody like Magic or Jordan push him in publicly. People remember the Lakers and Celtics of the 80s. What most do not know is just how good Seattle was with Dale Ellis, Xavier McDaniel and TOM CHAMBERS. Seattle was just a better coach and a couple more support players to move past LA and Boston? Oh well! Cheers.

Chambers was off the chain .. Yo, HE WAS THE TRUTH.! JUMP TO TOP OF BACKBOARD.. EFFICIENT ON OFFENSE AND NOT BAD ON D. Ive seen him hit his head on the rim .. Solid , Solid player... Gave opposing players on D Fits.. The Sonics was a really good team. I still dont get how the Sonics didnt have championship success..
Bring back our Sonics!

The greatest SF of all time!
Oh well! Cheers.
The reason Mullin got into HOF was thanks to his 2 Olympic Gold Medals along with 5 All Star appearances. Had Chambers managed at least 5 All-Stars + an NBA Championship, he might better consideration.
Multiple All Star appearances (minimum 5) is a sign of how long your prime and impact was as a player. Chambers' prime was too short.
Tom chambers was a dawg 😤😤
When I see Chambers style he gives the impression of a poor man's Larry Bird. Probably since he played in the same era as him made him a HOF snub, sadly.
Because He's still in prison for taking Mark Jackson's soul on that dunk.
This is a AMAZING channel!
How about vids on Xavier McDaniel, James Edwards, or Charles Oakley..? 🤔 Maybe Kenny Sky Walker?
Great work!! 😆
Seems like before internet all the west coast players not on lakers were severely underrated
How is he not in HoF?
should be in the HOF for that 1 dunk alone
You should do one on Bill Walton
Tom Chambers is not being snubbed for HOF. He just hasn't done enough to be prioritized.
Will watch later, but Tom Chambers along with Mark Aguirre are two players I've always believed should be in the HOF.
They let bums like tmac and Tim hardaway in, but excluded aguirre , kemp , chambers , laimbeer , LJ etc
@@andresdelportillo9917T Mac belongs. But Hardaway, Mcginnis, Haywood, Wilkes. Nah.
@@andresdelportillo9917even though Aguirre, Chambers, and Kemp deserve to at least get consideration, you should be banned for life from discussing basketball to say Hardaway and TMac were bums. Hardaway was out there avg 22 ppg, 10 assists, 3 rebs, and over 2 steals in the early 90s and made like 5 all star games. TMac was the NBA scoring champ and an obvious legit superstar.
@@thebayareastandout tmac was blowing 3-1 leads and choking , tim hardaway never helped his team get over the hump ever , bro has a 1-3 record against the Knicks in what everyone calls one of the best rivalries of the 90’s and out west he didn’t do much to help Mitch and mullin get past the first round , all star games really don’t mean much especially when players like lesser joe Johnson are voted multiple times over the better manu ginobili
@@andresdelportillo9917 Well since the then Magic coach Doc Rivers has made a career of blowing 3-1 leads I'm gonna say it was Doc Rivers fault they blew the lead in 2003. Also T-Macs teammates weren't very good and they were basically a .500 team. TMac and Hardaway still are NBA legends regardless and deserve HOF especially Hardaway.
Tom Chambers wld dunk on yo head with authority. Us hoppers from the 90's know about this man.
Been saying this for years. By far the biggest snub.
Miss original nba
Bring back our Sonics and put Chambers in the HOF!
I never have understood how Walton got into the hall of Fame. You have chambers that should have been there years ago.
Walton was a beast in college that’s why
Do Derek mason
Thats crazy he's not on hof
Only guy with 20k points not in it. He was as good, if not better than Mitch Richmond for god's sake. If Chambers is a "hall of very good" so is Richmond.
