I'm going into eighth grade and the year after I start high school. This vid really inspired and motivated me to broaden my horizons because I've been so focused on cross country and track/field and I don't even like doing them. I feel pressured into doing these certain sports for a number of various reasons but not anymore. I'm going to try something new!! Thanks Monica!
You should get an OtterBox commuter series, they're really thin and not bulky-looking and they protect your phone really well. Also a glass screen protecter could come in handy
I'm also a gymnast turned diver, woo woo represent! I was a level 9/10, got injured on bars..and then tried out for diving at college, and dove there for 4 years. Only a small group of people know the reality of both crazy sports!

I remember when I got a new car! I had the same car since 2008 and it was a 2004 piece of crap. I finally bought a new one in 2014 and it was the best thing everrrrrr!!!
I can relate to you trying diving and loving it, that happened with me and lacrosse. I knew I wanted to play, but a lot of people were skeptical about it since I had never done sports before and I wasn't very athletic. But I went to a few clinics before the season started, realized how much fun it was, talked to the coach and played on the JV team, and now I'm going to play varsity next year! So I totally agree, you have to try things!!!
this is irrelevant but when my school started their volleyball program, my coach forced me to join and signed me up even though i didn't want to, it's been 3 years now and i love volleyball so much, makes me forget all my problems and i don't know who i am without volleyball, it allowed me to make new friends and shape me into a positive person! so yes i agree with you monica, we should all try new things and we might end up loving it!
Monica's dad is literally the picture perfect definition of what I would describe to someone if they asked what a "super daddy dad" is. He's in the room with all of the other fathers that when you say "Hey dad I'm hungry" every single one of them would respond with "Hey hungry I'm dad"
Where I live there's a massive sports centre...and I mean massive! They do everything from beach volleyball to rock climbing there, it's amazing! they have amazing teams that compete nationally and internationally depending on the squad, and I got into the team one below the elite team, so considering I'd never dived in my life (we did an aptitude test at a dry diving gym) I was really proud of myself! I love diving now!
I know what you mean about doing something you love when I was 8 I hated swimming, but now I am 11 and I love it. I am currently a qualifyer for the 50 breaststroke in YMCA state silvers and I am 3 seconds away from going to states props to you for going to states
Pretty sure I had nationals in that aquatic center when I was like 12... Then again that was ages ago and I've been to a ridiculous amount of aquatic centers. Love the diving explanation! I've always been too scared to do much diving even though I'm really not THAT scared of heights. 😬
I dive too! I started my freshmen year of high school and I tried it when I was 8 years old also. I'm now a junior in high school and I'm still doing it. I like it but definitely scary to do new dives!

Seriously, my car was 375 bucks and is dented, spews anti freeze into the cabin all of the time (which actually makes me sick) and has transmission issues so it barely accelerates - her car is so much nicer than mine. I'll take it! lol ;)
My car had brake issues so when I drove it off the lot after I paid in cash I had issues where I had to change the front/back breaks. Besides that it made a funny noise sometimes like a clicking noise and it needed alignment , oil change and it's suppose to drive well in snow but it always scrapped in the snow and drove funny if I went too fast. Also new tires were needed so I took one from another car I had so it could pass inspection then eventually all the tires needed to change. To top it off I only bought the car to get me from point A to point B until I could get a better car. I wasn't fussy and grateful that I could afford it.
***** and whats wrong with being poor?? I worked 2 jobs during my junior year to pay for my 04 acura. I am nothing but proud of the work I did to afford it. Just because someone does not have the same advantages as you does not mean they deserve discrimination.
