Carissa I’ve been struggling with depression and my room got so messy. I watched a few of your videos and got motivated to do something about it! Thank you for inspiring on our bad days ❤️❤️
Loved how the storage bins weren't matchy matchy!! Too many of the TH-camrs get carried away by expensive storage. Use what you have, get what you need and get it done!! Awesome job Carissa 💕
I really appreciate her showing us all the grossest parts of her house. Because if you live with people and work then it can be like this sometimes. This is real life and I love this. So motivating.
This is the most realistic and functional AND aesthetic pantry makeover I've ever seen. I literally plan to steal all of these ideas! We dont have a real pantry in our duplex so we are using a shelf system that blends best and this is the perfect inspo size to base it off of! Your videos are so helpful and honestly make me excited to make our home without unrealistic expectations or compromises.
Wasn't grossed out at all especially when I found our onions in the pantry were attracting food flies. Just cleaned that out 2 weeks ago, I was stunned lol. It's so surprising what you find the source of the food flies' home base 😂
Great job on making over a real, working pantry. I also had the fruit fly problem and it took me 2 weeks to track them back to rotten potatoes as well! A tip on topping up containers, take out what you have, put new food in the container (eg, dried pasta), then put the older stuff back on top. It just means you don't end up with the same 2 year old food at the bottom.
i love those containers from walmart! the large and small ones completely changed the functionality and aesthetic of our pantry! great video, thanks for sharing!
Hahahahaha I was in the middle of organizing mine and got suuuuuper overwhelmed. So I sat down and turned this on. I have the same style pantry and a big family! It’s hard lol.
I loved how it came out, it’s so comfortable for the eyes to see. Keep on making these types of videos they are so nice I love organizing and having some extra ideas from other people❤️ Love your channel
Here we go again ... Carissa does her magic ✨... Another amazing video .. I love you content... the way u manage to be an amazing youtuber / organizer / videographer / editor / mom of 2 / a wife astonishes me !💕😍
With potatoes that have sprouts/shoots on them, dump them in soil either in a container or just in a spare bit of garden, you’ll have beautiful fresh grown pot at in no time, I’m always doing it. Love the pantry x
OMG potatoes rotting is one of the worst smells in the world! We had the exact same thing happen to us one time...couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from, until i found the few potatoes that had rolled behind the giant bin of dog food on the floor of the pantry. The bin was always full and very heavy, so we rarely moved it...LORD HAVE MERCY the stink! LOL Another time, a package of pork ribs had slipped out of a grocery bag and under a blanket in the trunk of my car for a few weeks. That was worse LOL
Ha! “Dressed for adventure..” Love your personality- subscribed immediately. 🤗 I have a brand new pantry, which is why I was looking for “normal people” pantry organization videos and came across your channel. I think I had seen some of your videos before, though.
The Home Edit ones are beautiful and all but I don't know anyone who has a pantry that big, not even the "nice" houses in my region do. Natalie Bennett also has a good "normal people" pantry organization video on her channel : th-cam.com/video/f5H3vI8jL94/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for doing a pantry that is the same size of ours. A lot of people have big pantries and the organization is not as realistic for us. Our tiny kitchen only has 8 single door cabinets so I have to be creative in how we store everything.
Gosh, girl... #pantrygoals!! ♥️ I wish we had shelves like this! Ours are just these wire bins in a vertical frame that pull out, which are convenient at times, but also not at others. Your refresh looks fab! (Edited to add: “Mommy’s snacks...... 🤣)
Great pantry. Only thing I would change on the lids of the containers with your dry ingredients you should put the labels on top so you know what's behind them.
I liked my pantry, until I saw this one, lol. Ours is a bit deeper than yours and I think we have an extra shelf way up top that I store paper goods, like paper plates, napkins we rarely use, plastic cutlery and plastic cups, we only use them for company. I’m thinking of selling all of it or giving it away. We rarely have company come over anymore, I could use the space for counter top appliances we don’t use every day. Thanks for the inspiration! I will start tomorrow maybe.
Thank you for being real with the rotten potato thing I hate when people try and hide the real deal mess. Thanks for capturing this now I feel like I can do this.
I recently cleaned up the pantry and found the potatoes had the same situation as yours. It shocked me. Haha... HelloFresh isn’t that cheap unless you got the 80% off coupons. We have tried many times and it was good. I personally would recommend it cuz the food are fresh, clean with individual wrapped and it comes with full receipts. I kept couple of receipts cuz they are my favorites and easy cook in a limited time. We usually order the 2 person portion meals for 4 people and add some extra veggies on it. Order 4 person portion is too expensive. It is just my thoughts.
I use the same embossing label maker--I like the look of the labels SO much more than the digital printout ones. I used it for all of the kitchen cabinet organization I just did and it looks great! I don't have a pantry sadly
What’s the name of the label maker, and do you know how much it costs? I’d love to get one (that embosses, like you said. Much more appealing) for our tiny kitchen cabinet storage since my family never knows where to put things back at.
Yes I love these videos! Even though my house doesn't even have a pantry 🤷♀️🤦♀️ i don't know what they were thinking back in 1975 when they built my house. 😆🤣🤣
I... I also found forgotten potatoes in our cupboard earlier today, and yeah, it was the fruit flies that alerted me to the situation! This made me feel better, because I felt really gross and like a bad person for it, but if someone who has their life together can forget potatoes too, then I’m good!
I had the same containers with the plastic lock. They ALL broke. Highly recommend buying systerna containers from Home Goods or the Made by Design containers at Target
A few months ago a watched a bunch of videos like this one of pantries getting make overs so it inspired me to do mine. So I can proudly say my pantry is in tip top shape lol thanks to utube 😂😂
We live in a 98 year old farm house they removed the pantry and made the bedroom bigger and they built a huge spice cabinet in the kitchen I wish I had the pantry
@@CarissaCleansItAll, our store only had one bunch of white bins. They had primary colored ones, but I didn't think that would be best for my kitchen. LOL
For things like the pancake mix etc. the best thing to do would be to cut out the instruction from the box it came in and then paste it on the container.
Your videos are SO inspiring. I catch myself looking for things to organize when I watch you. Just a heads up, those clear containers from ikea absolutely explode if you drop them! Don't ask me how I know 🥴
loved watching the video & it gave me motivation, have to say though, I am LOVING the dark feature wall to the right of the pantry. looks incredible. Keelie in the UK (sorry it lists me under my hubby's name)

I think there are a couple similar ones. I have one from Walmart that has always been fine. These were amazon and look they same but broke very easily.
There must have been a lingering smell you couldn't find the source of with that potato too. I need to get in and clean my pantry. It's a corner one and it's just so hard to get it to be how I want. And plus we have too much stuff in there. Maybe along with yard with this weekend I'll tackle it.
Do you have another area where you store stuff like olive oil, canned tomatoes, chicken broth, soups, etc. We redid our pantry from the Container Store. It was expensive, but we love it. Love that you included the stinky potatoes. That's real life! I've been loving your videos over the last few weeks since discovering your channel.
I agree! I have also found a moldy bread bag in my pantry more times than I'd like to admit.

Some might be shocked or grossed out by the potatoes. I think it makes you that much more relatable 😂
Haha I'm just happy I found them.

I use up the leftovers first, then use what is in the containers. Line fruit & vegetable containers with greaseproof paper in case of spoilage.
BTW don’t put potatoes and onions together. The onions will make the potatoes go bad. Weird I know cuz they are together at the store.
I love how real this is. i also love the fact that you actully showed the forgotten potatoes
“Sketti” love it 😂
