Might be a bit too early but looking at his draw, he has a real chance of actually qualifying for the Crucible which would be unbelievable. Jimmy Robertson next, a good player but very inconsistent, so if Jimmy is having a bit of an off-day, Liam could definitely take him. Then Matthew Stevens up next, obviously formerly a very good player but very much coming towards the end of his career and severely lacking in confidence these days, so also not someone I would be too surprised to see get beaten by young Liam.
Judgment day would obviously be the toughest matchup, he'll probably face Jack Lisowski there or possibly Liu Hongyu. Liu Hongyu I don't know very well but he's also a young player newly on the tour so no reason to favour him strongly over Liam. Lisowski, if he does come through to Judgment Day, would be a big ask for Liam or anybody obviously, seeing as he's the 17 seed just missing out on a seeding through to the Crucible. But he has definitely not pulled out any trees this season and he's seeded so highly mainly because of his performance from the previous season. So he's really lacking in confidence and Liam would be warmed up by then while Jack hasn't played in a big tournament since the Welsh Open two months ago so he might be coming in cold.
You never know, there's a chance here.
