Really proud of Michael B. Jordan and especially Jonathan Majors. Jonathan’s screen presence in all he does is incredible, even in the Loki episode

I'm ready to praise Jonathan Majors as much as the next person, but I can't stress how proud I am of Michael B Jordan right now. I've been a fan of his ever since I was a high school freshman and it's incredible to see how much he's delivered in the last decade. My Wednesday screening can't get here fast enough.

The actor that plays young Damien will appear in Superman and Lois season 3 as John Henry Irons nephew. I can see from the trailers they blended storylines from Rocky III, Rocky IV into one story. What's interesting with Majors is I love his facial expressions because he has this rare talent where he can make an expression and us the audience will figure out what he is going through. Majors has this talent where he doesn't have to say anything and it's all through different emotions. He is definitely going to steal the show.

Rocky said to Adonis at the end of Creed 2: “It’s your time.” Then the camera showed Rocky sitting down and the shot slowly pulled back. That was a clear passing of the torch for me. I was not expecting Rocky to be back in Creed 3 when this was announced. So, no shock or disappointment there.

People can say what the want about Quantumania (I LOVED it) but with the range of emotion Jonathan Majors is capable of, I firmly believe he's the next Denzel. Just a next level actor and I will watch him in literally anything.

A bit bummed out he’s not in this but hopefully they at least mention his current status ( retired with his family hopefully) , Majors looks awesome as a heel and was surprised to see Viktor Drago in the last trailer , should be a blast.

I went to see Creed III on Monday, and I gotta say...I really disliked it. I was super disappointed. I thought all of the storylines fell flat, though I couldn't say why because everything about them should have worked for me. I also disliked the visual choices in the fight scenes. I had a lot of opposite reaction to this movie than most. I am super glad people seem to be liking the movie, and I hope everybody involved gets to see their movie be successful. Just didn't work for me on almost any level. Good performances, definitely, though.

Great review. I just finished watching Creed 3 and I thought it was a solid entry into the Creed franchise. And because I now see it as a Creed franchise, I don’t need to see Rocky in the next Creed film (although there was one moment in Creed 3 his character would have definitely been there).

I go back to the Creed 2 scene where Rocky says something like "It's your time now" to Adonis. That line combined with music and cinematography heavily implied that he wouldn't be in the next one, so why was there this uproar years later?

CREED IV has already been announced! That's the one where he goes to Russia to avenge Rocky's death at the fists of the Russian champ. In V, we'll see Adonis train a young up and coming fighter who turns on him before Adonis teaches him a lesson by pummeling the green but cocky pugilist in a street fight. ADONIS CREED will see the former champ step back in the ring after a computer simulation suggests he could beat the current champ in a showdown bout in Vegas. Following that, we'll be introduced to Rocky's heretofore unknown grandson, whom Adonis will impart the many Life lessons the fledgling fighter will need to overcome the enormous odds stacked against him.

Liked the movie....but I felt it was lacking a little something? I don't know if it was pacing, or time spent with Jonathan Majors character? I would've liked to have seen more of him, and more of the build up of animosity between creed and majors character. It also felt like the movie rushed through several important beats in the story that needed more scenes and time to be discovered and explored....was nice to see characters using sign language, don't see that very often. Good movie but....lacked a bit of desired ooummph. (Also it felt like the audiences were all cgi? Made the big scenes feel a bit more fake or flat).

You have to go in with a suspended belief on the boxing because anyone who gets hit like they do, their knocked out instantly or worse dead from those shots lol If I had 1 thing about this movie to question or wish went better was Dame being in jail for 18 years for pulling a gun out in that scenario, not too believable. Maybe some probation or a year or two? But that’s super nitpicking and overall I didn’t care, the movie was great

    SPOILERS AHEAD ! ! !
Imagine if Rocky had come to the funeral with ROBBY! Adonis is standing there with his black umbrella, greeting some folks arriving at church. Out of a family-wagon (Robby’s) steps out Rocky and son. Adonis sees Rocky and walks over to him. They stand in front of each other, sharing a silent moment before Rocky speaks; “Hey, Kid”.. Adonis; “Hey, Unc”. They hug, and Rocky introduces Adonis to Robby. The two shake hands. Robby; “Kinda feel like I already know ‘ya”.. Adonis; “Likewise, man”. Now, even those two shares a hug. Robby (in the midst of hugging Adonis) says; “So sorry for your loss.. I know what it’s like losing a mother”. Then they have their funeral, and at the gathering afterwards, Rocky is still there with Robby. They all have a little conversation between each other, similar to what Adonis has with Bianca in the film (she, of course, is still there too, listening to it all) That way, Rocky understands what’s going on between Adonis and his old friend. Rocky wants to help Adonis get ready for the fight, to which Adonis might say; “I appreciate it, but this really isn’t your fight anymore”.. Rocky smiles; “Your fight is our fight, kid. We wanna be here for you, ‘ya know”.. Robby gently nods as well, looking at Adonis with empathy; “Yeah.. Home-Team”… Queue in the MUSIC, and we now have a training-montage where both Rocky and Robby organically has stepped in, to help out with the training, along with all the others (still including Drago’s son) By the time of the fight, Rocky and Robby could simply sit on the first row, along with Bianca, watching along. But at the final moment, Rocky will step over to the side of the ring, to give Adonis those final words of encouragement, before he goes full fury on Damian (just a little fan-fiction there, hehe)

Don't you remember in the marketing leading up to the 2nd Creed, Sylvester Stallone admitted that would be his last time with Rocky?? He said he was officially retiring and passing the torch to Michael B Jordan. To hear his talk about not being involved in this film comes across as very disingenuous and a slap to the face of MBJ. The franchise has moved forward and he (Sylvester) needs to as well. I understand there may be moments where his presence is missed, but that should also be a part of the growth of Adonis, as he can't depend on Rocky forever! Rocky is now with his son and grandson, his fight is over!

The movie never felt right. It was missing that underdog spirit. There's no real challenge to beat the odds or better yourself. The film felt numb, dull. The music was ok, but nothing to get you inspired or pumped really. The fights happened so fast, each fight didn't feel like there was a story in the fight, they just happened. There wasn't much anticipation built up to the final fight. The final fight itself lacked intensity, you almost don't care who wins. Anticlimactic ending. I'm a huge Rocky/Creed fan I've watched every Rocky/Creed movies many times over the last 40 years. times. This movie wasn't horrible by any means, but it's just above Rocky 5 in the franchise rankings.

Creed III is actually a big step back in quality from the previous 2 films. From poor dialogue to hokey, overly melodramatic moments, to uninspired boxing sequences, and mediocre-at-best acting performances.......this is a decent film, but not nearly what one would have expected, considering the high quality of the previous entries. I realize there's only so much you can do when it's simply a matter of two people throwing punches in a ring, but everything in the fight scenes is "been there, saw that, what's next?". Although Jonathan Majors is now Hollywood's "golden boy", at least for the moment, his Damian here is pretty much one-dimensional, one-note with a background and motivations that really stretch credulity. They may have just called this "Creed III: Rocky III" since there are so many closely-tied beats, including that of getting caught up in the fame and wealth that goes to one's head (it did for Rocky and it does for Creed). I don't know where some claim to see a lot of heart in the fights, I saw none of it. Fantastic fight choreography? Not by a long shot - just unoriginal. Although this film was an opportunity for Michael B Jordan to go it alone without the cache Syvester Stallone brought to things, Stallone's presence was sorely missed here. I thought the subplot in Creed 2 with the deaf daughter was very well done and touching, but the daughter here is nothing but in the way and slightly irritating. Speaking of irritating, so is Tessa Thompson's performance. She just doesn't change as a character, not nearly enough at least to make her interesting. For another boxing film apart from the Rocky/Creed franchise, Creed III is ok at best. For one IN the Rocky/Creed world.......just not very good. C at best.

Didnt love Creed 2, and as crappy as it is to know the Rocky isnt in this, It does actually look pretty good. I know there is funeral scene in this, i can only assume that its Maryanne and if so you would think Rocky would be at the Funeral. But i get it. I do wish the Winkler would work things out with Sly Rocky means so much to me and it sux that they cant just get sort their issues out. Sly is a Producer on this very curious to know how this works, as it just looks like he put his name on it and walked away. But anyway.

I’m so curious about this film. I thought Creed 1 was transcendent but Creed 2, though a decent film, felt like the predictable twitter fan fiction I expected the first film to be. Between Majors and Jordan directing I am so much more interested in this film.

Since Rocky kinda built the Creed series don't you think that Stallone should be part of the movie and the story? If there wasn't a Rocky movie there wouldn't be a Creed movie also do you think that Rocky should've been in this movie because he's like a father figure to Adonis and did they screw Stallone with him not being involved and not being in the movie?

Easily the worst of the creed films for me. Weak weak unrealistic script (even for this franchise) and that ending really took me out of the movie and dropped the score a full point for me.

You were to nice in asking folks to subscribe. I like it when you are like subscribe you clowns. Lol. As far as Creed 3, I will just wait for streaming. IDK without Stallone I am not as interested and I am not a mega Creed fan so just wait.
