This is the best video on insomnia I’ve ever seen-thank you! 🙏🏻 I constantly worry that the medications I need to sleep will impact my health over time.
I am chronically ill and therefor already struggle with exhaustion so it’s terrifying to me not getting enough sleep because The pain and exhaustion will be so much worse. Mostly however I fear how I will feel about it. I can’t emotionally regulate very well when I’m exhausted and I have so many memories of debilitating exhaustion that hurts similarly to trauma
Just started experiencing insomnia since around 3 weeks ago after long period of sleeping fairly well. It evolved from health anxiety and trouble breathing. When I’m in bed I constantly scan how I breathe and over time it gets more shallow, tens and difficult. Trying to accept it but it keeps me vigilant and then I start worrying this will be the case forever with ultimate end being sort of heart attack, stroke or madness.
My fear is fear of feeling bad next day and the fear of feeling of loss of control and feeling the anger, I feel afraid of facing this empty space and not knowing when I will get to sleep.
This is my main health problem now is insomnia and anxiety. It’s like a vicious cycle. I walk long distances and workout to the limit and yet I can’t sleep. It’s so frustrating and I worry it’s going to affect my health. I used to take a lot of night calls at the hospitals and now I am retired but I can’t sleep like normal people.
My fear of not being able to sleep n fear of the consequences makes me more anxious n restless, the harder i tried to sleep the harder i face to sleep, please help me.
My problem is I have only one day off work, so basically I get so excited to that day, and start worrying that if I dont sleep well before that day, I wont enjoy it!, and always end up not sleeping well, although I sleep well the whole week because I dont care about sleeping during the week😂 kinda funny
This is what I call the "medication cycle", which is common when someone tries to come of medication for insomnia. I'll make a note to do a video about it. In the meantime, you can download my free guide where I go over the steps to overcoming insomnia, including how to break out of the medication cycle (in consultation with your doctor/prescriber) www.drorma.com/free-guide
That must be scary. The breathing issue could be anxiety or it could also be something like sleep apnea. Here's a link to download the free guide www.drorma.com/free-guide

My body is losing muscle mass di you think it could be due to imsomia. I fall asleep ok but seem to wake up every hour and come 3am thats it been like ghis for 3 years now and my life is suffering big time any help appreciated
I'm not sure the loss of muscle mass is due to the insomnia. It's usually due to lack of weight bearing exercise, diet, age or a combination. For the insomnia, here's the link to download the free guide that will give you more details about how to overcome it www.drorma.com/free-guide
