@@Paik4Life big load is excellent I've got the toy version Something about it just looked better to me The only thing I don't like is the back of the heel Surely they could have found a way to cover it up. Not noticed any problems when transforming it or worries about joints
Omg ty so much, man! I got 2 of these, transformed one into leg mode and put the other on the shelf in bot mode….Then I needed to put the leg back in the box.😂 The end of this video saved my ass.
I'm kinda conflicted about the position of the arms in leg mode...you have them facing like the instructions show but the picture on the box says different, they're flipped 180° and honestly it "feels" better this way but idk. Check it out and see, I'd love your opinion on this.
I tried both when practicing as well to see if there was a difference and for me the way I did it and the official instructions (not some of the box pics) all point to correct for me because of the vertical positioning of the arms as opposed to be slightly angled forward. From my tests, it didn't really make a huge difference and they both work, so go with whatever you prefer unless we find out a really strong reason why one or the other is worse.
@@Paik4Lifeagreed, I'm not gonna worry about it. I'll leave em unofficial for now(i like the angle) and see if it fails when i put more weight on it. Thanks paik
Got mine about a week ago and I really like it, been messing with him regularly over the weekend. Wanna make my first review on this guy but need to get an area set up first 😁
The lighting in this video makes the finish/paint look really nice. I wonder how good it looks in person. One thing I don’t like about fans toys is the fingers on their figures don’t usually have any splay. They go to all the effort to give the fingers joints, but there’s almost no point because the hands are always stuck in some ugly “oven mit” looking pose. Can’t get much expression with zero splay.
I complained for years about their blocky fingers/hands. They at least made these rounded and a bit better which I think is par for this size of figure. Honestly at this size I can’t even think of a figure that has GOOD splaying fingers though. The ones I’ve seen at this size mostly use ball joints which are pretty scary. Which figures have good hands that splay? Help me remember!
@@Paik4Life honestly you’re right, there aren’t a ton of figures with great splaying hands-I guess I’m thinking of some of the articulated hands I’ve handled on gundam model kits. There are even 3rd party articulated hands that are very sturdy and durable, you can find them on HLJ. Maybe they’re made from a different type of plastic and that’s part of the issue. I just wish transformers figures would catch up in that respect.
I wasn't waiting for this; even in the face of the Toyworld set, the set for me was the set I eventually got: the OSKO of Generation Toy's Gravity Builder. Granted, the stylized design makes it look like tryna sneak in Prime Wars Trilogy Leader class figures amongst MP figures: great scale, wrong look, but, the design looks more hardcore.
This is not bad, but i do not like partsforming and it looks too fiddly for the results. Looks good though. Im probably going with MMC. I really appreciate the review.
Thanks, Mark. I actually think it’s less fiddly than usual FT fare but the alt mode, the backpack, and the waist articulation are all disappointing. Combined leg mode is awesome though.
@@Paik4Life yep i don’t over critique it, it’s a high quality transformer obviously a team of people put a lot of time into designing it. The toy has to become three things and it’s the leg of all things and I’ve heard people trashing this toy… if they want the XTB version just buy it when it comes out, I don’t want to hear ‘how disappointed’ people ate who don’t have either toy in hand.
@@punaforageragreed! I want to check out the XTB ones but am not putting my money up to it. I’ll have to try a friend’s or something because I gave up on XTB after being burned/disappointed far too often.
Sadly that’s pretty much the case if folks want the larger height in combined mode and minimal partsforming. Are you looking specifically for a set for robot mode? If so which set are you going for?
I joked about FT figures just being bricks years ago. Specifically the insecticons which people were over the moon about but were easily the worst of the options in my opinion as far as aesthetics and transformation. I said FT fans seem to be okay with just having figures that are heavy and with paint in that case let me just paint a brick for you and be done with it.

when you have a non-partsforming combiner take a shelf dive and destroy itself... you appreciate the stability of partsforming
To be fair, partforming does not guarantee stability...........But in Gehry's case, I think they killed it with the combined mode stability!
The wheels are too small in Alt, the xtra Bling paint look is a step back for toon, and the Parts form for Leg mode is Lazy.
