I can't tell whether this thing is just putting on a show to try to guilt trip anyone damaging it, or if it actually feels pain and motherly affection toward the smaller raknoids.
Both, just like the profit-taker, she snaps mid battle, while the proft taker switches from the sweat nurcery rhymes to threatening songs, exploiter goes from a autoritarian mother to a bloody thursty broken mother. At first she directs her speach to us, the solaris united, but mid battle she starts guilt triping us because we are monsters, who kill children, wen she cant speak for herself, its basically showing how broken she starts to become that she ends up ingoring Nef Anyo and goed streight to Fortuna.
Cephalon Prometheus I always wondered what Nef would have thought had she actually gone after it. And this also brings up the question of their minds. Are they really 100% robot? Or are they something else entirely?

Actually, both profit-taker and exploiter were partially made with sentient technology, and because of the sentient's subversive powers, they have gone beyond the basic programming. Which is (probably) why they're voiced, and don't merely spout lines that may have been decided to be threatening by a corpus marketing board.
I kinda like how the exploiter orb sounds like a narcissistic mother/typical portrayal of an evil orphanage director. The whole “abusive mother” attitude combined with her name having the word “exploiter” in it just fits somehow.

Well, here's the thing, and it's a terrifying thing..... _PT was built with Sentient tech,_ it's why she's so adaptive to damage unless we use our Operator to change it when we fight her. Not only that, _she fucking knows our Frames are controlled by them,_ hence why she calls us "Metal Dollies." The Sentient tech might be what's causing her screwey ominous speaking compared to Exploiter's clear concise speech.
Exploiter Orb is easily my favorite of the two Orb bosses. Exploiter sounds like an angry and condescending mother, while Profit Taker sounds like a disturbed child with her hushed whispering and constant rhyming

@@calus_bath_water I think her yelling "Division," is ntended to be a break in her V.I. character, as her ground pound is less an attack and more a desparate immersion in the snow to cool her reactor, dividing the temperature. Alternatively, she's literally calling for a division's worth of her children to come, which seems rather more likely and is still a character break.
I know this is old and all but this has to be pointed : I think that the Exploiter Orb was supposed to be a "horror like"/realistic (which is why she is scary) of an old communist (certainly by propaganda) mother from the cold, never ending winter of the Russia during the first decades of Communism. Because, this kind of character is quite "easy" to replicate, BUT, it is EXTREMELY special and *unique* if it has enough context to be created. And also, it's kinda odd that when we talk about the Russia of those specific years, it's >. Also, yes, I said "old" because a character like that is at least 40 years old.
