  • The KQi3 Max is the newest product in NIU's lineup of electric kick scooters! With better acceleration, higher top speed, and a larger battery than the other models, the Max is the new top dog of the KQi3 scooters. It is worth the $200 upgrade over the Pro and how does it compare to other sub-$1000 scooter?

    If you buy this: SAVE THE BOX! For the full length of the warranty. NIU will give you endless grief about shipping if you do not have the box. Also, please be aware that ANY warranty claim, even if it is to replace a cheap part, will include a $320 service fee! More reviewers need to be talking about the service from NIU. Several owners are figuring out the hard way the warranty is basically worthless. NIU did just release a store to buy spare parts, though. Plan on doing all your own repairs, and expect to have to repair at least a few things on your own.

      The pneumatic tires in the Max provide a bit of ride cushioning, but if you ride mainly on bumpy roads you should look at a scooter with real suspension.
      The tires also come with a sealant coating inside to prevent flats.

    Thanks for posting this review.
    I got the KQi3 Pro a while ago, but I couldn’t resist upgrading to the KQi3 Max when NIU put it on sale last week.
    My recommendation to anyone looking at scooters in the $500 - $1000 price range: spend the extra money and get the KQi3 Max! The small bump up in top speed doesn’t seem like much on paper, but it makes a *big* difference in real life. If it could go 30 mph it would be the perfect scooter for 99% of riders. Yes, dual motor full suspension rockets that can go >50 mph may be fun to ride, but they just aren’t practical for most people.
    I still can’t believe how well built NIU scooters are for the price. They’re as solid as a tank and feel like actual vehicles rather than toys.
    I hope NIU eventually offers a high performance scooter like the Segway GT2…

      @carbrickscity ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Except you don't speak for 99% of people lol
      Many people's budget is below $600 or $700 which would automatically exclude this scooter lol
      Not to mention some people look for solid tires, suspensions, either higher or lower speed, seat option, etc. Definitely not a perfect scooter for 99% of people.

    I do agree with your insights but I will have to say for $200 there are very big upgrades on the scooter extra range for one (which makes it worth it alone)for that big battery, but also the increase speed, and other upgrades that may seem incremental but are actually huge for everything being under $1000. @@berhaneyohannes7095 yes thats one thing you will have to get used to is companies (all of them) advertising their MAX range under the most optimal circumstances like light weighted rider, lowest soeed setting ect. Sorry to break the news.. I got my Max just over a month ago and it's already got problems with the throttle.. getting error code 03. After investigating online, I found on Reddit and other forums quite a few other recent Max owners who have also experienced the same issue within the first month of ownership. I must say that NIU's online support via chat seemed good enough but, you'll have to go back and forth many times if you want to have the replacement part, ie, throttle sent to you, free of charge, under the warranty. I'm literally being forced to ship my scooter to a third party repair service company. I was totally happy with my Max during the first 5 weeks but, now I'm dreading dealing with repairs by way of shipping back and forth. 😔

I would get a used G30 with second gen motor, you check the number in the motor, starting with 6 is 1st and 9 is 2nd. 2nd gen maintain higher speeds for longer, 1st gen will have higher torque and will drop max speed more after a drop in battery

    right now the pro is $559 and the max is $850. Judging by all the features that you mentioned plus adding tax on top of the $850 the PRO is so much more value than the MAX, i really want to get the MAX but not for an additional $300.

    This is my second Amazon kids tablet purchase. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAPUD3wGXVz7iwFny2pBBqGomYxe_7J6U I bought my son his first when he was one and now that he is almost three we just upgraded to this version a couple of months ago. I love that you can control the age content, block certain apps and videos, and free storage space with apps that haven’t been used in a while. This tablet has assisted my son’s learning in so many ways. We love it!
