My Rainbow Lorikeet flies around in the house and he loves flying. His wings were clipped when I got him and I let them grow back. The look on his face when he realized he could get lift and fly properly was so wonderful, really happy happy bird.

I found a fledgeling a few days ago that couldn't be returned to the nest. This is so cute.

LOL... yeah it's cute, i know
Notice how he grabs the towel with his feet though
this is how they practice for flight
i taught my Lorikeet's how to fly from when they were very young.
they start by wanting to take flight
but you have to encourage them to not be scared and to re assure them they are not going to fall
i started by holding my hand close and getting them to fly to my hand
      then further away progressively
after a while they fly from one side of the room to the other
it's a really cute stage, but doesn't last long unfortunately
this one is very young, the eyes are not even red yet

you shouldn't have clipped the wings
my little one was hand raised from the egg
I've never clipped his wings and he behaves exactly like this as well
there was honestly no need for you to clip the wings , and .. it's not fair in terms of development .

      very young
      i would say , under 6 weeks
the eyes are still grey and haven't developed the redness in them yet
that alone tells you ... very very very young

Gee those wings have been butchered, you only need to clip a few feathers from the centre not the whole wing.
He/she really wants to fly as the bird showed in the video, let the feathers grow back and let the bird fly as they were meant to. Let the bird be a bird, imagine having the gift of flight and then that being taken away from you? I know the bird is only young and you are trying to tame it but at least once in i'ts life give it the gift of flight please.
