- 🎥 This PM mock case interview features Phyllis Njoroge, Redfin PM and former creative director at Product Buds, as the candidate answering a hybrid product question, somewhere between product sense and product execution, about growing Airbnb Experiences. Kenton Kivestu, ex-Googler and RocketBlocks Founder, plays the interviewer.
Phyllis's laid-back and confident style lends itself to this thoughtful, somewhat unstructured approach to this PM strategy question, making this a fun, unique, and engaging watch. Also, as a bonus, we have included interviewer notes throughout, calling out the strengths and weaknesses of the interview.

Hey, just wanted to put a note that your videos are super informative! I'm a developer turned PM and your videos are helping me develop an explicit framework for problem-solving to use when framing up answers to product interview questions. Keep up the good work

I feel so happy discovering your channel. Appreciate insightful and high quality content. Please keep up the good works 💪🏻
Thanks
what about it being a supply problem as well - not many hosts hosting experiences, so we may then not be able to upsell if guests book a place and there are no experiences.
For virtual ones, since TAM is much larger then performance marketing plays a role.
Thank you, I liked the way she clarified and specifically narrowed down on the scope. Since this is a strategy question, should we focus first 4c’s before diving into the features ?
I think it would be useful to think about the user journey of how people book trips here. I think many users have a sense of the experiences they want to have before they book their lodging. Introducing experiences at the moment of booking lodging may be too late. So finding a way to bring experiences earlier into the funnel when users are researching places to go could be useful.
Thank you
You're welcome
