Love the long form videos, great to see em back! Just in case it maybe wasn't just me, there appear to be some annoying audio pops with a lot of the cuts. Hoping for even more vids on both the CFMoto and R6
I just bought by 2nd R6 yesterday. I had an 04 before now bought a 2015 w 9600 miles. I got a great deal on it, but it has some of the same issues as yours. Needs two brand new tires, the aftermarket clutch lever on their feels weird (i havent tried adjusting it yet though), brakes dont feel great, and the gas lid takes a minute or two of prying to open after jiggling the key. Great video, I started on an r6 any I cant see myself owning any other bike.
Recently completed a Labor Day group ride in the twisty North Carolina mountain roads. All kinds of bikes and I’m just so happy with my SV650. I’ve looked at 1K, 750’s and 600’s but this SV is so fun. Yeah I won’t stand a chance in the straight but it’s my Swiss army bike, does it all. Won’t say never but for now this SV will stay.
I have a 07 r6s as my first bike and I love it! But I’m also 6’1 and I have very little experience with bikes before this but I felt the bike was a great choice to get into as starting out as long as your careful
As a 5'4" woman who bought an '09 R6 as my first street bike, the R6 is fine for shorter riders. I can't flat foot it with both feet, but that's only a downside when I have to back up, or move it without using the throttle.

Personally i prefer the Cfmoto all the way. You cant compare a 600cc with a 450cc in terms of speed, torque HP. But as a package the Cfmoto offers way more, and its a perfect daily bike. I have the 450SR and the RS660, and use the 450SR most days, as the RS660 is not as good to be filtering in traffic at slow speeds. So i guess really depends what you want it for. In the ideal world its better to have both :) And maybe a 3rd one for touring haha. Great videos as always ;)
@@christiansvideos I think you will not be disappointed with the Cfmoto. Of course compared to my RS660 with 100hp, the Cfmoto has less torque and power, but plenty to have a lot of fun :) So if you had an R6 but didn’t ride for a while, i think you would be happy
@@christiansvideosif your scared it will under whelm you then it probably will. Also the 450 does not come with a better package. The 600 will have way better suspension, brakes, handling. i'm a beginner rider and the 450SS is so much fun to ride and looks amazing and i bought it new from my local dealership which also teaches people how financing and help build credit
i did plan on getting a gsxr600 but i couldn’t get any quote for insurance under $5k a year which is totally undoable for me. The 450ss i got a quote for $2k a year and for normal commute and casual fun this is perfect for me
I had a 2005 r6s before and it was great, sold it and got a Surron and now I want to go back riding sports bike lol I am now torn between these two bikes I just love how the r6 sounds but im considering getting a newer bike for the reliability and less gas consumption
here in the philippines an r6 cost more than half a million at around 600k+ upto 750k i think.. compared to a 299k cfmoto 450sr.... maybe only in the us its price for 2nd hand is closer to cfmoto brand new
I'd get either one CF Moto 450SS I have is amazing. I love it. I have gotten it to 100 mph and still had more to give.....I often cruise about 80-87 mph on way to work passing every car in sight.
I think the best comparison to the 450ss is the ninja 400, aside from reliability, does the 450ss’s quality of parts really worth it? I mean I think you pointed out something about it’s swingarm and that it’s somewhat low quality?

Will you do a review or something like that about the new aprilia rs457? In my country there are cc limitations, so I'm restricted to the A2 license, so max 47 or 48 hp. With the info avalable now, the rs457 would be the best in its class, but i'd love to see some reviews on it

I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that people who can't handle 50hp shouldn't be on a motorcycle. Everyone has to start somewhere, and and while I do think it would be great if every rider could start out with a full-sized bike, I would still rather see someone start with a 125cc because that's all they're comfortable with than have them never try riding at all. As for the 450SS vs the R6, they're entirely different classes of bike, so I don't really think it's a fair comparison. That said, having tried both, I personally prefer the 450SS, although that's mostly because I'm short so the smaller bike is more comfortable. Price is a valid point to bring up, but you have to put it in perspective. My cousin paid just under $6k for his '07 R6, while I was out the door for just under $5.5k on the 450SS (dealership owner is a friend of the family so he waived the freight and setup fees). Not a huge difference in price, but we're talking about a brand new bike, with all the warrantees and lack of wear that comes with that territory, compared to a 16-year-old bike with 16 years of "I hope the last guy didn't lie about maintenance" and no warrantee. They're both worth the money, you're just paying for different things. With the R6 you're paying for performance and pedigree, whereas with the 450SS, you're paying for mechanical certainty and modern tech.
Wouldn't the 450 be a better commute bike from the low end torque of the single cylinder engine. Vs a inline 4 that has it's peak performance at top of rev range? I'm new to bikes just asking for clarity
@@onyx_might72 The 450SS actually has a parallel twin (fancy name for an inline 2-cylinder), and top end power is still higher than low range torque, just not by as much as on the R6. That aside, there are a variety of factors to consider, but low end torque is usually more favorable for commuting bikes.
You do get used to the power very fast. I bought one new a few months ago for $6900 OTD. After 2 weeks I knew I wanted more power and decided to cut my losses, sell and grab a zx6r
2:30 great story and I like that you took out extra cash for a finder's fee. That $200 will be worth MUCH more as an investment in the future. Cool story.
Ive had 2 R6's, an R1, and a dozen dirt bikes and I love my 450ss. I dust almost everyone I ride with through the Colorado canyons. Super fun bike. Only way you'll outgrow this bike is if your thing is straight line squiding.....
Do you think it's worth picking up a used 2012 R6 with only 2000 miles, in good condition for $9k? In between that or a used 450ss / Ninja 400/ R3 for ~4/5k. Not in a rush but saw it pop up and not sure if I should pass because of the price
Id go with the ninja 400. A brand new 2023 bike with 1 mile on the clock for only $5.5k from a reputable manufacturer, trust me when you buy a used bike your going to find things you dont want to find and sometimes those things starting adding up real fast and next thing you know, you cant ride because something on your bike is in dire need of servicing/repair. All my bikes have been pre-owned but thats cuz im a broke boi lol. Dont be like me and risk your life on a clapped out bike, if I could go back in time id save myself so many headaches by going to a dealer and financing a bike that I actually want. Nothing wrong with settling for whatever comes your way based on your $ budget, cuz obviously that the path I chose but if I could do things differently.. I definitely would, hence the reason I took the time to reply.
The 450 SS was described best as a giggle machine or around town blaster. I want an NK 450 simply for a project and fun back and forth to work bike because of the MPG. I have aspirations for other machines but not as a back and forth 40 minutes to work but for touring with my lady so a naked 450 for under 6k why not it gets 4.5 times the MPG of my truck and leaves me in the wind. On another note I hope that CF Moto comes out with a NK crossplane triple to give the MT 09 some real competition. I think as time goes on we are going to see more and more 270 degree twins and triples hitting the market.
Man i really feel for you guys in the US in regards to the 450SS price. Got mine brand new from a dealership in New Zealand for $5400 USD total cost (2 year warranty). We have over here a LAMS approved list (basically a list of bikes you are legally allowed to ride) for people on their learners license. The 450 is on that list. It was a toss up between the RC 390, Duke 390, Mt -03 or Ninja 400 for me.
18:15 Yeah in the UK for a A2 licence we can only ride a 500cc max with 35kW. So I'm only 18 so i have to wait until I'm 19 to do my a2 test, that will be next year. I'm waiting for cf moto to release there 500cc bike and I will see if I should get the yamaha r7 restricted or the cf moto 500sr.
As someone who has an R3 and ZX6r, (2023) I can honestly tell you, that the R3, is ridiculously fun to ride and goof around on. You get *NO* fatigue, no high temperature issues, and it's so damn light. I'm in the midst of selling the 636 for a street triple RS . It's just not enjoyable like the R3. So, if you are thinking about getting the R3 , you should.
Great video man! I love your review. if its possible can you do a review CF MOTO CLX 700 Sports. I am planning to get that one but I would love to see your feedback on it @adobo Moto
Im looking to buy my first bike right now, just got my 6L license here in vancouver canada. wondering if riding a sport bike as a daily is uncomfortable. ive seen it in a few places people complaining about sport bikes being uncomfortable to ride day to day. just wondering as someone who has clearly had a lot of experience on them as well as other bikes if you find thats the case or not
I rode a 12 miles commute to school on an r6, and I just bought another one yesterday to do the same to work (9 miles). Its doable, yes, but the hunched position can definitely tire your back and wrists out where some days you really wish you had a car.
Neutral seating position and high handlebar height makes it so much more comfortable of a ride imo. Ive never had an R6 but I had an FZR600 for a few months, fun bike but the aggressive seating position just wasnt for me, after about an hr of constant riding my back would start to get really tense and stiffen up to the point where I would have to pull over somewhere and stretch. I sold the FZR600 and picked up an FZ6 that I currently still ride, and the difference in ergonomics is huge. If you dont plan on taking your bike to the track, definitely look into the naked bike category. At the very least just walk into a dealership and tell em your not there to buy a bike, and that you just want to familiarize yourself with the ergonomics of different riding styles.
In australia we have all the learners restrictions and the big prices for everything 650cc is the limit for learners And looking at 11k for a ninja 650
I want to add even if I don't agree with adobo on everything, I still love this channel, so please keep making videos and shorts ! Also, the gixxer jokes are funny, when you don't see them coming (i.e. catches you off guard)
Adobo, here's the thing though. I am a beginner rider, who rides a BMW 310 R that belongs to my mom (yes my mom is badass). It's a great bike for a beginner, but after two years of riding I am ready for something that can go faster than 83mph (that's literally the top speed of the BMW, I hate revving the piss out of it just to get to 65). The thing is though, I am a college student, so I don't have a shop, tools, or an extra 5gs to spend after I get my bike. The 450ss just makes more sense to me, especially since I don't want to kill myself going 140mph on a used r6. What do you think? P.S. Love your videos!
If youre gonna use the Bike for commuting, the R6 doesnt make any sense. It has very low power in low rpm range til you get to about 8k rpm and now youre screaming sound in traffic. very annoying.
Get an FZ6, literally the naked version of the 1st gen R6. Yamaha straight up took the R6 thundercat (1st Gen R6) engine and changed the shape of the camshaft profile so that the powerband kicks in way sooner in the RPM range, which made the FZ6 much easier to handle in terms of power management for street riding. Also the neutral seating position and the high handlebar height makes it so much more comfortable of a ride imo. Ive never had an R6 but I had an FZR600 for a few months, fun bike but the aggressive seating position just wasnt for me so I sold it and picked up the FZ6 that I currently ride, and the difference in ergonomics is huge. 450 is made and developed by CFMOTO 100%.They actually brag about it as an achievement for the company. The rest of the previous motors are based from Kawasaki and KTM motors.
I need to check the monthly payments for the insurance on an r6 compared to the cfmoto 450ss. I bet the 450ss has plenty of power for road but not track use. I don't live near, not can I afford the track, so the 450 might be the sweet spot as 300's seem to get underwhelming reviews.
Well that's a fair comparison well if you really have the buck and the place to use it go for 1000 but if you'll just be goofing off around go for those lower one's and in case you crash em it's not that itchy to repair em😂

The perfect beginner bike is a used cheap 3-400cc bike that someone can learn on for a year and beat up before spending money on their second bike that they’ll keep for years before trading up again.
The RSV4 here in the Philippines is more than 32kUSD, so expensive. I agree, liter bikes will depend on where you live. 600s are way better in bengking bengking.

Do you think it's worth picking up a used 2012 R6 with only 2000 miles, in good condition for $9k? In between that or a used 450ss / Ninja 400/ R3 for ~4/5k. Not in a rush but saw it pop up and not sure if I should pass because of the price
9k sounds crazy for a bike that old. There are new bikes around that price.
Did Leo have to drive 10 hours? 😂😂😂😂😂
what are your thoughts on the rs 660?
need more long videos 🔥🔥🔥
what year gixxer does the king have ?
cfmoto is growing their model selection with an upcoming 500-600 cc inline 4 engines and a liter bike
Me too bro 🇳🇿 where in NZ? South or North Island g?
@@kalonyt06 North Island, Wellington
@@BenrockyAA oh aye im in Christchurch g it's mean as here. 💯
there's a rumour that aprilia will launch rs400 or sumthing and cfmoto 675sr, you definitely need to test it if it comes out
18:15 Yeah in the UK for a A2 licence we can only ride a 500cc max with 35kW. So I'm only 18 so i have to wait until I'm 19 to do my a2 test, that will be next year. I'm waiting for cf moto to release there 500cc bike and I will see if I should get the yamaha r7 restricted or the cf moto 500sr.
Could you possibly do a review for the Yamaha YZF-R3
As someone who has an R3 and ZX6r, (2023) I can honestly tell you, that the R3, is ridiculously fun to ride and goof around on. You get *NO* fatigue, no high temperature issues, and it's so damn light. I'm in the midst of selling the 636 for a street triple RS . It's just not enjoyable like the R3.
So, if you are thinking about getting the R3 , you should.
I love my R3
I mean in Denmark an 18 year old the biggest you can ride is a 125 with a max of 15 hp… can’t wait to get my R7 now
Great video man! I love your review. if its possible can you do a review CF MOTO CLX 700 Sports. I am planning to get that one but I would love to see your feedback on it @adobo Moto
Speaking for someone like myself to have comprehensive and collision on a 450ss, is almost doubled over the 600.
I have full coverage on my 450SS through State Farm and pay 28.00 month.....you must have a crappy driving record
Ur 450ss has traction control?? My 450sr doesnt 😮
Avon tires?
In australia we have all the learners restrictions and the big prices for everything
650cc is the limit for learners
And looking at 11k for a ninja 650
13:11 I saw in Taobao someone selling quickshifter for 450SR
Good advice!
i have a 400 cc bike that have a ktm 390 engine wich is its brother called dominar 400 its weight is like a 1000cc bike and its really annoying me
Mom is a star 😂
Tell mama I have the exact same hoodie as her😂👻
Actually the best thing about the r6 is the sound 👌
pangarap ko tlg mgkaron nyan lodi ... pero 200cc na afford ko... gusto ko kc ung motor na expressway legal 400cc above
Kaya mo yan lodi!
If you dont plan on taking your bike to the track, definitely look into the naked bike category. At the very least just walk into a dealership and tell em your not there to buy a bike, and that you just want to familiarize yourself with the different bike ergonomics.
@@slept-on_SP not to mention it's probably SO much more comfy for day to day riding
all that trash talking about the car, I love it, spending time with friends is awesome
Hi idol . . .taga San ka sa Philippines?
Waiting for cfmoto 500sr 4cylinder just release in china yesterday
Interesting. Must do a search. How about fuel consumption compared to 450SS?
Who's motor is this in the 450ss ? Or is it 100 % in house c.f. MOTO? Thanks
450 is made and developed by CFMOTO 100%.They actually brag about it as an achievement for the company. The rest of the previous motors are based from Kawasaki and KTM motors.
@@SuperFordragon Thank you .
Nice content. Kung mura lang sana R6 here sa Manila. Saya ang kulit ni Nanay $1.00
Love the 240sx!
A lot of Filipinos get styes from watching dogs poop 💩 or that’s what Lola use to say hahahaha!
Meanwhile there lives a german grandpa living like three houses ahead and rips a 2010 s1k 🤣
How much did cf moto pay u
idol baka po may pinaglumaan kang motor na hindi ginagamit , baka po pede maka arbor hehe.😄joke
, Sana maka visit po kayo dito sa Pilipinas.
Watching from Bulacan
This is the first time I’ve ever been a first on a video
The perfect beginner bike is a used cheap 3-400cc bike that someone can learn on for a year and beat up before spending money on their second bike that they’ll keep for years before trading up again.
🔥🔥🔥
Damm that arpilia costs u 5k??
This dude looks like shrek 😂😂
such a beautiful s14 kouki🤌🥰
The RSV4 here in the Philippines is more than 32kUSD, so expensive. I agree, liter bikes will depend on where you live. 600s are way better in bengking bengking.
I got so syked when I saw this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
