@@MattMcHugh257 what did you spry into the spark plug hole Bc I just got an odyssey a fl250 and I rebuilt it new piston just a .50 bigger piston and it will not start at all could you help?
Once the carb is bice and clean and the tank is clean and u adjust ut in the sweet spot and u have a nice new plug and mix the gas right your hond 250 runa great ans starts right up even cold
I'm currently in the middle of a rebuild on my 1980 fl250 with a dg performance exhaust on it and I decided to get rid of the stock airbox in favor of a uni 2stage pod
I did not, and it doesn't run that well because of it. I certainly need to change the jetting around after putting this pipe on it to get it running 100%.
Awesome Buggy My First Buggy was a Honda Odyssey fl250 and a Manco Dingo 8Hp Briggs Stratton 305cc the Honda Odyssey was at my Dad's house the Manco Dingo was at my mom's house I Rode every day I'd do my Homework in class so I could ride when I got home from school I've had a Buggy every since
I keep trying to get mine to work because it shutoff as I was riding it and it would not turn over again. I think it is the stator because it shut off but kept turning and not jolting to a stop. but the pull starter would not turn it over. I think it is the stator, do you know anywhere I can just buy a complete stator kit or how to get to the stator because I have the pull starter off and I cannot get the next bolt off
I had the same exact problem with this one once. I replaced the CDI, then the Igniter (neither fixed it), it ended up being the stator (or whatever is behind the pull cord mechanism). I purchased a new one from a guy on eBay that specializes in parts for these and that fixed it. I also purchased the clutch pulling device off eBay.
Should be called the deaf pipe. I loved pulling my rope out! Mine had a dg pipe with larger carb. I need to rebuild mine that's sitting in the blackberry bushes of my parents house.... Burnt up the piston rings and thats were it sat.
i want one of these badly. seeing i cant ride out in my woods anymore due to the conservationists, i can still ride around my 10 acres and make some trails and one of these seems like it would suite perfectly. how are they overall?

Wow........ I'm jealous. I have an 83' but not getting that kind of speed. Curious where you got your exhaust pipe and how much they run? Also, I have noticed some oil/splooge which drips from the motor where the exhaust connects. Do you have this? I may be running rich :-\. Thanks
I bought it used off eBay. It was $100 or $200 I don’t remember exactly. Oil dripping from the exhaust connection is very common on 2 strokes and I wouldn’t worry about it.
Yea, between the first video I made on my chanel with it stock and this one with the DG pipe that's all I did differently. I need to work on the jetting - it's not running as good as it could be.
Yea that's no joke! Now I have spark issues. Just got a flywheel puller so I can get to the last electrical component of the machine to check it out. Hoping to get it up and running for the firstg light snowfall, I feel like this thing would be a blast in the snow!
Matt McHugh i needed to replace one of the springs for the primary clutch . its the original clutch i managed to get it off but i have no idea how to get one of the 6 springs back onto the roller , i cant find any details about people rebuilding this clutch nor can i find a special tool. im stumped :( but on the brightside i finally got it to run good! LOL
Looks like a ton of fun. I miss my Odyssey so much. DG makes great parts. Great last name by the way.

Right when I got it I did all of that and it ran great. Been a little sluggish lately, thinking I gotta clear the carb out again.
