since I'm here again 2 years later I recommend skipping to about 5:30-5:40 or just speeding up the video (PS: there's better ways to get dogmeat in the vault now I just don't have it on my PS4 anymore)
massive like. 4.30.21 and it works. just quicksaved it once and quit. reloaded and hung out near the cryolator. started stacking boxes on each other and eventually dogmeat appeared. I want to say it was about 5 minutes but maybe more.
Still works on ps4. Dog was in the doorway facing the cryolator, fetch, items, he got the gun and it went into his inventory, trade, gun + 200 ammo for it

@@ivandishon3596 Main thing is to wait in the bunker until the dog shows up. Just run around the whole complex then settle in the area with the Cryolator. The dog will eventually spawn and walk towards you.
@@danielrojas-db9nq I exited the vault a few times but it was the same results. I gave up. Left the game prob ate something then went back to the game a bit frustrated prob. It was like magic when it finally opened. I’m not sure what I did different from the many times I tried before but I just know that it finally worked. I still have it. Are you trying to get it now?

Keep trying sometimes it takes a lot of tries if it doesnt work ill see if i can make a video figuring out if it still works :D
