I'm a bit late but it's actually way simpler to do kohakutou (real name of these edible cristals). I just mix 4g of agar, 120g of liquid and 200g of sugar, whisk it a bit, put it on medium-high heat and pour it in a silicon mold when it has boiled for a small minute. You wait a full day before getting it out, then wait 7-10 days. The more the crunchier. You can also cheat by coating them in sugar, dries it faster.
What a fun experiment!!! Very pretty. I tried making jello with Agar. I winged it. It turned into hard jello. I brought it anyway to the picnic and let my nephews throw big pieces at each other. They bounced too!!! Lol. So not a total fail. 😏
@@Puddingcup110 Welp, that explains why I didn't know it... And yes, now that I heard it a few times, I'm sure she says, 'Troll Boagies"... Not "Boogie", but "Boagies" lol Thx guys!! Now I must Google 🤣 Edit: okay, guess it was her accent. I suppose she does say 'troll boogie'... Either way, she's hilarious!
No. It's because she kept reducing the sugar. First one with full sugar was the best. Then the next where she reduced the sugar s bit wasn't as good. And the last where she used loads less sugar was the worst and didn't crystallize on the outside

Thanks so much. Too pretty to eat. The scraps could be used to plate an artistic mosiac. I can't wait to do this with my grandkids.
Instead of using juice, do you think an extract would work better?
no prob not
I was wondering that too
First time watching and I love her energy 💜🙏 awesome video by the way 🎊
Where did you store them for 4 days? Fridge or dry storage?
Could you use tonic water instead of water? Then it would glow in black light
I cook I don't bake, I feel ya!!
Taste ?
It’s not fun if they don’t taste good. I think a fruit extract would work
I say the same thing about measuring I suck at baking haha ima cook not a baker
You use a flavor extract and wait 7 days
Hilarious Red Tide reference! That stuff can kill you. Yay, Florida. IYKYK.
They are pretty
Thanks for leaving the water drinking bit in the final edit.

I don’t know?! But just looking at it, I first have to make an appointment with my dentist.
Sister you are funny
I think you needed to pour it out into a thinner layer... like onto a rimmed sheet pan.
