The Middletons driver setup is actually a little different than how you described it. The dual woofers actually fire out the sides while the tweeters and passive radiators shoot out the front and rear. Definitely an unusual setup for a speaker like this. Also, the Middleton can in fact be paired to any other Marshall speaker that supports “Stack Mode” (Emberton II and Willen) Multiple reviewers have demonstrated this working here on TH-cam. Engadget also posted a review on their website at the end of January stating that they were able to pair two Middletons, an Emberton II and a Willen in a stack session. In order for it to work your phone should only be connected to one Marshall speaker at a time (the main speaker that the others can then sync to) from there you start a stack session in the Marshall app and then double press the Bluetooth button on any other stack enabled speaker you wish to add to the “stack”
This was honestly a good review. I learned this speaker still isn't good for my personal use but with a lower price tag it has a place. Can you compare this against the Xtreme 3 and Charge 5 next?
I received this speaker as a gift and I absolutely love it. Very unique MARSHALL signature sound. Nice clarity and deep BASS. The sound is traveling wide in 360 degrees and not just forward direction. The style is awesome and I love the design. 🤔 but is it really worth 300$.... Well only if u can afford it and APPRECIATE that MARSHALL signature sound. There are many cheaper options that would blow this away. Like the tribit stormbox blast or soundcore motion boom plus that cost 100$ cheaper and they are louder. But nonetheless this is a really good speaker but like u said , I agree with u... A more fair price would be 250$. At 300$ u are paying xtra for that "MARSHALL" name brand..... 🤔 but everything else that comes with that name brand... Great sound AND nice design.
Hey! I would like for you to review the new Audio-Technica ATH-M50XBT2, the second version of the ATH-M50XBT. It has improvements like USB-C Charging, LDAC support, multiple device connectivity support, and a low latency mode.
Anyone know how to increase the bass for the mid/upper would sure love to try to see if it can boosted! It sounds really good low bass but want to see more out of the speaker.
your incorrect about the driver layout. it has two woofers on the sides and a passive radiator and tweeter on the front and back. i took mine apart and checked
@GYMCADDY I do too. Mine had lose screws and a air leak when I got mine. When I opened it up the screws holding down the active drivers could be hand lossened. Not good. So because I was curious I opened it up completely. Took out the active drivers and side panel and exposed the internals. The side woofers are a weird neodymium pancake woofer. Never seen anything like it. I have photos on my TH-cam channel under Posts. When I reassembled the speaker, I loctited every single screw. Now it's sound unbelievable. Nice deep rich sound. Love it.
@@GYMCADDY yeah I have still to get a marshall but I'm very tempted. I still prefer jbls styling and other features it offers compared to most speakers

I’ve been hoping Marshall would come out with a third iteration of their Stockwell speaker. Just with more volume because that was the only thing that was lacking about the Stockwell 2. But judging by the release of The Middleton something tells me Marshall is phasing out the Stockwell, sadly

@@niyaazisaacs1990 the audio pro addon c5 sounds better than mania and it's cheaper too the bass extension is kinda surprising for a portable speaker (even though the battery life sucks) the sonos five surprised me more being able to go down to 23hz with three 3.5 inch woofers in a small sealed enclosure
it's a nice speaker, just not $300 nice. I returned mine. I compared it against my W-King D8. It sounded better than the D8, but not by much. My D8 cost $69.
i returned middleton next day after testing, mostly because of price i will say... this speaker souns verry good, clear and deep rummble bass.. but just at low volume 50% max 60% depend of music track. then is losing bass fast and even if sound loud at high/max volume, is like a ´´loud screaming toy¨ , still clean with not much distortion at 90/max volume but no mid/upper bass, and deep bass doesn´t exist at high volume. i would say that is verry good sound speaker on low volume ,,around the house,, only (my opinion). but for that price...NO (maybe for design and deep bass at low volume)

This is the clearest best sounding portable speaker, I tested them all at Best Buy, don’t know what you are talking about
Marshall makes elegant speakers
Not gonna lie marshal has some elegant looking speakers
Yeah, it looks nice.
marshall is the godfather of elegant amp designs

Editing now
I don't like a linear volume scale because I would rather have a specific volume at lower volumes, great product but too pricy
The Marshall speaker has way better instrument separation than the XG300 Even though both speakers have tweeters

Been waiting for this review. Thanks

Please do a Middleton vs Xtreme 3 and a Middleton vs Killburn 2 video. They're much needed.
what's the best eq settings for the xg300?
in my opinion the live settings in the app is more than enough bass to Enjoy music hope that helps 👍
I have the emberton 2 i don't think the middleton is worth twice the price tag of the emberton 2?
It's 400 Canadian and i bought 2

200? The Emberton II is 169! I ordered, but miss AAC too.😢
Middleton vs Xtreme 3, price aside so which have better Bass and overall better sounding? I'm torn between these two.

I hope they aren’t. They need something to directly compete against xtreme 3
I agree and then price is $299 what the heck
You misspoke, you CAN pair all different Marshall speakers with the Middleton which seemed to be a setback for you about this speaker.
Is this alot better than emberton?
No emberton 2 sounds better the middleton can go louder that's all
I just got my Devialet mania yesterday, BRO! Get one, my mind is blown.
For 800$ for a small speaker that competes with the Harman Kardon studio series it's a no for me and a lot of people😅

Why do you use the XB43 because it's a better speaker than the XG300 and the Xb 43 sounds almost as open as the Marshall
Tough, waterproof, dust proof, & a phone charger - hence the price I guess. 👍
You can mix and match marshalls .. i own willen, emberton 2 and this.. they stack. You lost me there..
