So i dont get why you are dissing wraps, it looks like the wrap was done correctly with a full disasembly, yeah that primer stuff is messed up to do and ruin the paint. But also wraps are not ment to stay on a car for over 6 years.
This is why when I wrap, I don't take much off. As a contactor and business owner, most shop owners get angry when I don't over wrap. This video is why you shouldn't. Turns an hour removal into a complete teardown
Also, the fact they dismantled the entire car to wrap it and it’s originally black (the easiest color to wrap over) shows me they do quality work. Without being able to see their corners and cuts. So kuddos
How is this ruined? The truck is fine. The trim is an easy replacement. As for the flat black paint, there’s definitely a story behind it. Maybe it was vandalized at one point, but I don’t see how a wrap ruined the truck
Thats what happens when you cant afford the car you own. You take it to an unqualified shop who gave you the lowest price. I see it every day in the wrap industry. You try to warn customers but they dont believe you.
These mechanics and their fancy money blowing habits..... I let the Beemers go, Then comes a Porsche, I let that go then a AMG comes along, I let that go.... But the icing on the cake is you flaunting buying your parts at a local autoparts chain just spending like its a strip club.... Must be nice....
I bought a W210 Mercedes about 5 years ago for dirt cheap, that was covered in plasti-dip. After 12 hours of removal I saw the worst condition paint I’ve seen in years 😂
I came cause I will be ordering one soon...man some of you guys are very racist and prejudice. Nathan why would you buy this vehicle and bitch about the wrap...you did get it a discount....if it so ruin spend the money and buy new lame!
I totally agree. Destroy a nice car seems to be what short-sighted boneheads like to do. So much time and effort from a quality factory.. then some barely-graduated scoob thinks THEY know better.. haha.. All they do is eventually lower the car's worth.. to just-above "scrap price". Id Never buy a car from a kid that is a dreamer. Buy the color you want, dont cheap-azz it.. if you want that, buy a dodge. haha.. Wrapped cars most likely spawn from "dodge people" anyway.. and they came into some money.. and we ALL see it blocks away..
If professionally wrapped with quality materials and unwrapped properly with a quality heat gun (not what you’re using). You don’t seem to have paint damage. This car was preserved by the wrap and didn’t damage your car - can’t speak for paint damage. So to correct you, don’t wrap or paint your car without the full knowledge of what product is being used and the installation. I’ve wrapped my show truck 3 times and never had any issues. Just do your research. SMH
😳 wtf who in their mind would do something stupid like this to 100k suv At first I was thinking no big deal just wrap but when you point out spraying roof makes me mad 😡 it’s not even my suv
I love the friendly shout out to the dealership you bought it from.😂 I can see them in my minds eye: Well dressed guys that probably make less per year than you do Nathan but act like they make twice as much as you.
Try doing some research on the options that car came with. I vaguely remember some option back around that time where there was a Matte black roof, hood and then the wheel things(covers/fenders).... I just looked up info for "2 tone" paint on 2014 G63.... anyway, I did find one for sale but it was a 2015. It's called a "Night Star" edition. It's probably what that G was new.... so it's probably factory matte paint that came with that package. Of course I just noticed that your video is 2 years old so it's probably all a moot point now anyway.
Nathan... There is a certain " Video-Bob " on youtube who had a 2004 Rolls Royce also wrapped. Under the coating he found a disaster: Meaning having the whole car repainted.... It went great but cost him a fortune :)
would be just black prime or lazy workers who doesn't want to wrap those parts of the vehicle, cuz the quality built requires dedication, thats why I'm taking time building my projects.
PDR master tech 18yrs in. 2nd generation. I see both ends of this. Big panel PPF and Vinyl on vehicle’s. look the way candy corn tastes. The trim removal to install the wrap is actually “good” wrap technique. However. Prying up 4K in body side moldings. (Probably for the first time) rendering them trash, to then use harbor freight double sided tape to re-install them. 🤦♂️. SMH. Shooting from the hip. I bet it’s a one time use molding. How much damage is under those thrashed molding areas??? As far as the bed liner sprayed hood and roof. …. Back it out. Get the weedwacker gas from the shed & light it on fire. Or get a years worth of DA pads for each surface. And extra $$ to whoever draws the short straw That Merc is just the vehicle representation of Sammy Sosa’s physical appearance since retiring from baseball.
Why do people change their color you ask?... Well isn't that calling the kettle black (or calling out the previous owner)... You are doing the same damm thing. If you don't like the color don't buy it then call everyone out as the bad guy. You did get lucky because you never know when you unwrap a car what you find underneath. SMH
Great ride and I would own one if I fit in them. They are not built for tall people. You might be hosed with that black paint, if they scuffed the clear to shoot it you will have no margin of error to remove it without going into the base paint. Hope you got a great deal on it, wrapped cars take a huge hit on depreciation because of what it might be hiding. Maybe call some wrap shops and ask them what they would do with the black paint.
idk how y'all ya r but im about 6,6'1'' and plenty of space left. seats go down up back and steering wheel adjusted also. my brother is bigger than me and he fits in after adjusting
Those cars are sought after by a very specific demographic, and all of the mods reflect that too.

I valeted for 6yrs. These and range rovers are absolute tanks, but they just become garage/road puppies
This car probably belonged to a hip-hop wanna-be in St Louis or a strip club owner. His girl wanted another color.
It came from Atlanta so even worse lol
@@NathansBMWWorkshop :) I wonder what the inside is like smell wise.
@@herrbela84 Smells new , not like a strip club lol

We have them come directly to us from mercedes. Wrap protects. And you get any color!

Wrapped cars look like cheap spray paint anyway. And any camo / other designs are the most teenage thing anyone can ever do to a car.

Thats what happens when you cant afford the car you own. You take it to an unqualified shop who gave you the lowest price. I see it every day in the wrap industry. You try to warn customers but they dont believe you.
If a guy had enough beer on hand, and an extra chair, I could bring my heat gun over and help make a New Year's party out of peeling the G wagon.
Man I’m what 4 days in and I can officially say it’s halfway done

Wrapped a few for work. Never ever wrap a car for personal use.
Also. Get a body shop heat lamp. Bake it for a bit first. It’ll make removal of all that garbage go a lot smoother
They could've painted the whole car with that matt thing so they kinda saved it for you.
Hood could be plasti dip done with tons of layers. Dont think its rhino/truck liner. That would suck if it is - hood is trashed.
I came cause I will be ordering one soon...man some of you guys are very racist and prejudice. Nathan why would you buy this vehicle and bitch about the wrap...you did get it a discount....if it so ruin spend the money and buy new lame!
I don't hate the flat parts with the gloss black....I say pull the wrap and keep the flat hood and roof. I think it looks pretty bad asss
I think it looks like primer
with creative accounting the car didn't cost anything.
I would pick up a penny. the original owner probably was spending their parents money.
If the sprayed on stuff is of good quality I would leave it as it might be more of a hassle to remove it

Black G-wagons are classic . Black out it all
Thanks Duane have a good time
So the primer damaged the g wagon not the wrap from my understanding
I would love to talk to the guy that had that car covered just to ask him or her why? Did they live by the ocean or a corrosive area?
That whole dealership was full of wrapped cars, Rolls Royce, Lambo's etc

If the black is plasti dip spray silicone will dissolve it and not harm the paint

Haha I have also
