Aside from the RNG being action based, the clown car spawn side was determined by switch state. know which state the switch is in and you can tell which side it'll spawn on. At that point you just have to know where the RNG counter is at. The final one was a bit of a troll because the doors were "flipped", so while the switch state was the same, the RNG counter was not.

So keeping track of which actions advance it, and knowing how it affects various things, is how you would know what the RNG counter is at and what's going to happen with anything that relies on RNG to determine outcome (such as magikoopas, or where a clowncar bounces when it hits spikes.)
And DGR says to Panga: you can take my world record, but you can't take my first clear.

_ACKSHULLY,_ if you have to pick between 4 doors, and it's a fair chance, and you have to do that 4 times, that's a *1 in 256* chance, not 1 in 4000. 🤔🤓
Yep. 1 in 256 is 0.390625%, the mistake was just dividing 1 by 256 and calling that a percent (0.00390625). 0.004% though is 1 in 25,000, not 1 in 4000.

The creator of the level didn’t move his decimal points over. In the level description it says Success rate = to 0.004%, which is obviously incorrect. It’s not a percent. It’s actually 0.4%, which is 1 in 256. Not quite sure where 1 in 4000 came from, but I’m guessing it’s from the creator’s so called 0.004%

Isn’t that just a 1/256 chance? It’s just 1 / (4^4), and even less because the on/off counting lets you turn each choice into a 50/50, meaning it’s 1 / (2^4), or 1/16

@@ethohalfslab not sure how it wouldn't be hit, or maybe I'm not sure what you mean by hit. Laplace's rule of succession means that he has 2/3 chance of clearing the claw section, based only on him clearing it first try. However, he can still give the claw section a 1/16 chance of being cleared depending on how hard it seemed to him prior to playing it. (in that case, he'd take the one shot as getting lucky instead of much of an indication that the section is easy).

OH NOOOOOOO! Dave, I just watched your video showcasing the new Maker Central website, and now watching this video I realized that in addition to all the amazing things it's going to do, it's also going to be used for evil. With the advent of Maker Central you pretty much can't stop the stream snipers from trying to beat you to first clears because they'll be able to search by level title and not just by level code! Just blocking the level code won't be enough, and even though you could block both the level code and the level title during the process of starting the level, any time you pause the level title is displayed again. And pausing happens all the time during play. You can't keep a permanent overlay up to block that because it will cover up gameplay, so they'll definitely be able to find the levels before too long. Oh, man, that is going to suck. Stream snipers blow.

Someone needs to remake that Lucky Draw level from Mario Maker 1 where you have a 1 in 7.5 million chance of winning
The only thing that last level needed was a contraption that blows up hidden blocks if there is a red coin in a pipe, so when you collect a coin and try to jump to the next pipe, you hit a kaizo block and are forced to figure out the RNG again without getting a coin.
That last level was intense.

The success rate is actually 0.390625%, or 1/256. There are four "rounds" so to speak, each with a 25% chance of being correct, the chance of being right sequentially quartering each round.

I'm planning on recreating all 71 missions from sonic origins it's mission in Mario maker 2, i'm gonna have to make a work around for some missions though because of some moves that Mario doesn't have, i guess that for double jump from the lightning shield as sonic i use a nut suit for the double jump, for tails his flight i can use a lakitu cloud, i can use a nut suit for knuckles his glide & vibes right next to wall for his wall climb, i just don't know what to do to replace the fireball spindash (airdash) with flame shield, the bounce with the bubble shield... Oh wait, i guess i can use springs for the bounce, ok i'm just not sure about the airdash from the flame shield sonic CD's time travel & some stage gimmick like wacky workbench it's high as bouncy floor, it's an interesting concept though

I mean, no offense to DGR, but anybody watching any of these streamers needs to remember that they're not your friends and honestly don't care about any of you individually, even if they do have some sense of caring about you as a whole group since you pay the bills. Maybe when you're in a new streamer's channel before they hit it big you'll get some recognition, but by the time a streamer gets as big as Dave you're all just numbers to him. You all are the reason he doesn't have to have a real job. Not hating on the dude at all, but I'll never understand the world when people will just throw money at somebody for playing video games. At least I kind of understand it when it's a cute woman wearing low cut tops, because well, yanno.... but streamers like Dave and LobosJr. having careers doing this don't even make any sense to me. Don't feel betrayed dude. Unless it was like one of his actual real life friends that were in the chat with him, he would have done the same to anybody else. And it wasn't even Dave who did it. It was his editor guy. I doubt that Dave even takes any time to view the videos that go to YT and he leaves it all in that dude's hands.
But good job figuring that out. I still don't even know what you guys were really doing there, but obviously you figured it out since that was some Final Fantasy II Pink Tail drop odds that you overcame for that first clear.
@@thedude5295 well that might be true to a lot of streamers but I feel like DGR is one of the few that has a strong connection to his fanbase, I understand those who give money to him since he with the live streams and TH-cam entratains a lot of people, and that's a real job
@@Furetto126 I made mention of the fact that he cares about his fan base as a whole. But he doesn't care about any individuals in it. He's got a family and kids that he cares about, and for most people who do, that's more than enough. He's got real life friends. This is his job, and he's good at it. Even if he's not close to being the best at the game he plays, he's got a great personality for the camera. But anybody who sits there in stream and watches him or any other streamer for hours a day while giving them money and thinks they have any real connection with that streamer is not only fooling themselves, but possibly dangerously so.
I do hope that he's figured out a way to transition something else from this when he needs to, because at some point that money isn't going to be coming in anymore and because I do like the dude's personality I'd honestly hate to see him have to get his hands dirty doing a real job like I and so many people I've known have had to do all of our lives. What streamers do is get paid to be adult children.
Be entertained. Enjoy Dave's personality and family friendly presentation. Just don't fool yourself into thinking that he's your friend. Even if he wanted to, there's no way that he could actually be a real friend to every single one of the people who pay him, let alone all of the people who just watch him play without paying.
