Not a huge fan of electric cars and bikes yet....but this is undeniable proof to people like me that it has come along way in the past 10yrs. Im impressed
I always ride in map 4 (the fastest).on this type of track I'll get about 25-30 minutes of riding on a full charge. Cahuilla is fast with soft dirt so it requires more electrons than a track like Fox Raceway or Perris raceway.
I was able to purchase a bunch of spare parts right around the time Alta closed, so I have a bunch of spare parts. There's a company in Michigan who bought all of Altas surpluses parts and sell them in eBay - Liquid Performance. That said, both of my Altas have been rock solid and haven't needed much at all.
Great video, that thing has a lot of power, have you ridden it on the street in a more conservative map to get better battery management for improved duration? I have the Sur-Ron with Motard setup. Your bike looks a lot faster with a ton more power. Thoughts? Where did you get yours? Envious in an all positive way! Great riding skills too.
Yeah this bike is a lot faster than a surron. It produces 50hp and 42ftlb torque to the wheel at its peak. I bought the bike brand new in 2018 from a local dealer here in socal. I have a second Alta as well, the dual sport version (EXR) which is street legal and its a blast to rip around town on. Its the ultimate hooligan bike. All that power makes it super easy to wheelie and zip around.
@@bwhaskell Im here in Temecula, can you recommend the bike shop you got it at? Yeah, Sur Ron is a fantastic reliable bike and mine is unleashed at 5000w and I totally love it. But then I saw a guy post on you tube a ride on your brand, i forget at the moment, but it just seamed way faster. Since I have BMX roots, something more bicycle but powerful, rather than the Sur Ron which is more dirt bike and less power, although 50 mph on a boardwalk is quick for a ticket. And my son loves the Sur Ron who has a staycic(powered balance bike). He almost ready to come up to my Sur-Ron and I will upgrade to yours. Did I mention your a damn good rider? I only have seen that one video and really dont know if your a Pro or working the ranks right now, but either way, Talent you have for sure! Thanks in advance for answering anything above to get me into a new electro pit bike.. I use mine for a pit bike at all the roadracing tracks I go to! If I carry my fleet of Ducati V4's, I had better have the baddest pit bike. Have fun, stay healthy and go ride! Jerry "Madman" Morris Throttle Engineer/Pilot Madman Racing
Its actually more stable than a gas bike and the suspension is the same WP components found on KTMs and Husqvarnas. The suspension is great. This bike is amazing.
That's awesome! Technology is awesome! It would be cool to try out an electric bike. But nothing beats the feel of a gas bike.
Don't knock till you try...you might end up being surprised.
Your right nothing beats the feel of making a lot of noise and going slow 🤣
How do you know if you have never ridden an electric bike?

Nice, looks like a half hour of ultimate adrenaline fun
Great video ! In which Mode did you ride ? And how long can you ride with that speed/intensity without charging the battery in your breaks ?

Who need more time in race on single charge?
Damn, that thing's really fast.
does Alta still officially support these bikes. If you had a broken part like a sub frame could you get a new part?

Very very good
I love how it sounds like a dirt bike still
dude put in the cheat code.
What is the bike called
What bike are you riding
Alta
Electric is faster but sound is less than desirable
Everyone will be on an electric bike in the next 10-20 years when’s all the oil has run out.
Doubt it trail riders need range electric bike cant give range or as much ride time as gas when out trail riding
Oil won't run out...they might stop using it but it won't run out.
Patience my little friend.
Nice clean pass at 8:11! CAHUILLA CREEK MOTOCROSS reminds me of Huntington in UT.
What is the bike called

Whats the price on one of these?
it was $13,500 new back in 2018. Good luck finding one now. They are highly desirable and selling for nearly the new price.
