- As much as I love Pakistan, and as much as I said you will get treated so well, like any other country some things do not go as you would expect them to be. On my last day in Lahore, I got scammed by a UBER driver and I am sharing all the details with you. Please let me know what do you think and did it ever happen to you?

I can feel you had a bad experience just by looking at your face. Davud, I'm an Uber driver in UK, you know you could have avoided the whole mess by not accepting the ride, particularly the car and the driver does not match to the info on your App.
Maybe someone from Pakistan will write here with advice and complaint procedure. Please keep us informed about what happened after Uber investigation.

Surge pricing is basically price being adjusted based on the uber demand in the area based off traffic and the demand for taxis in the area. But Uber app tells you the price before you book the ride. So this was clearly a scam. If uber changed price in middle of ride, then there would be so many people not using uber and yet this is not the case.
As a Pakistani i apologize for this scam by that stupid uber driver btw loving your vlogs stay blessed

Hey Bro.. It happened with me to here.. Different vehicle n registration number.. First instance itself, we reject, then they say, my vehicle is gone annual FC check, you pay whatever app shows and I will pay only for the message I receive from uber or Ola and not from drivers end.. If they make any rubbish will report it immediately.. For me morality is more important.. I won't show courtesy on it..
Since it is your first case, you have been cheated.. Also never be in that cab in which app is not moving.. They might take you to some other place too.. Don't take chances Bro.. Be alert and take care.. 😊

1. The original driver took your Uber call but did not move his car
2. He sent the other driver (calling him on his phone) while he was on trip
3. The other driver did not close the trip but picks you up so huge amount on his screen
4. Later he called his friend to close the trip you requested so you received the receipt of 100. 100 because he was running nearby did not go far
You should submit a complain through Uber app. Uber management is very strict.
And not to ride another car, if they just say they are Uber. Match the car number plz.

Very sorry to know about the way you were cheated and you are such a thorough and large hearted gentlemen and you simply dont deserve this. I am watching your videos and you are such an excellent human being. I am an Indian. Here also taxi drivers cheat foriegners . Uber is in a way good but still there are chances of getting cheated not in Pakistan but also in India. Basically Pakistanis are very loving people and very very great hospitality. And any Pakistani will feel hurt after hearing your experience. But Uber guys apologised and refunded Rs.100 brings in some relief. Hope such things wont happen to you in future.

1 year ago I went to Pakistan with my girlfriend and sister. Many pakistani men and women wanted to take pictures with us. We were uncomfortable. We told the man at the hotel about this. He told me, "Our people love foreign tourist girls very much. Because they are white. We don't see any white-skinned blonde girls here. Pakistani men admire white-skinned girls. This is the reality of Pakistan."
I tell you what he have done to you bro now that the scammer does have a friend who works in uber and whenever any ride booking come the uber person tells his scammer friend that you go and make charge by yourself and tell customer that application is glitched thatswhy not showing any ride start or any gps location then the scammer get money from customer and the scammer and his uber friend divide money equally and there they go making money with scams.😑🤔

There are no rides that cost 100 rupees, I suspect your real uber driver showed up, you werent there so they charged you a cancellation fee. Honestly, why would you ride in an uber that has different license plate and driver than the uber application
You made a mistake too. When you have seen wrong car, you should not have used that. Anyway hopefully UBER should investigate this issue.

Hey Davud!! Sorry about that . But you know what being well versed with everything you must have not taken the ride with first three red flags...and then when you took a ride you can always ask some English knowing gentlemen to help you in such case. If u don't find then don't pay until n unless driver finishes the ride. I understand u were in hurry to catch a train but in general in such situations you can always be patient and ask for help from people around or traffic police. I hope you don't experience such things anymore. N yes u can chase uber for refund and explain everything happened everyday and ultimately they will understand what their customers are going through. But main thing is you have to be vigilant and decisive. Don't be friendly with such PPL and let go . Just say I booked this n u r not the same. I know cancelling ride will charge you but u don't cancel ultimately driver will cancel n he will be penalized.

You have to call Police and not pay the driver
Somebody has hacked the Uber. Very serious situation. Must inform the Uber official and cyber crime. They apologized and returned the money same day perhaps. But few guys from our worst nearby country feeling that like created the century's biggest fraud. Man just 100 rupee was in the stake. And that was returned . Don't cry. Much worse happening in daily in all over the world.
... And frankly more than that I normally give as a tip to the drivers.

Well for one you got in the wrong car and the wrong driver....always watch out. People get murdered and dumped for getting in fake Ubers. Make sure all your info matches.

And since the hotel staff probably speak both or do and English, it would have thought and argued on your behalf.

Uber driver's issue is bad and that should not be happen again ! But i think ! YOU SHOULD NOT BLAME PAKISTAN FOR JUST 1-2 DOLLAR ( even you make bold heading contaning words scam , pakistan , avoid etc.. ) ! Atleast you should not use these type of headings with Country name just for too small issues ! What about hospitality the peoples giving you here ? So i think that was not good thing from you to tell story of 1-2 dollar issues on social media and blaming country with Name !! We pakistani treats you well as we can ! Mixture of some good and bad peoples are everywhere in world ! So i think you did make not good thing.
