From what I understand of Valve development, the title existing doesn't mean we'll get a game out of it by any means; that said, if they're already at the stage of hiring voice actors then the project is likely further along than most get before being canned. Interesting indeed, but we've been here before. Cautiously optimistic.
The Google monopoly needs to be broken up into one company per market segment... no company should simultaneously be a search engine, an OS vendor, a bank, an ISP, a cloud host, an app store, a social media platform, a videa streaming service, a news clearinghouse, a phone hardware company, an office suite, an advertising empire, and the many, many other things google does. It needs to be split into, like, at least a couple dozen different companies. And so does Amazon, Microsoft, etc.

The iOS binary similarity thing is not black and white. Games using the same version of Unity, for example, have the exact same Unity binaries shipped with them.
The Splatoon Decomp Project also doesn't bother to decompile the game to a level so we could build PC binaries, so nah~ I wouldn't count for anything for the BotW project. Love the Nintendo Dolphin Prototype though, just like everything else about this system. Childhood (or rather teenage) memories kick in! Also really hope Google has to pay big time. Time to split this monster apart. White Sands sounds like a F-ZERO track tho.

So er...yeah, the BOTW decomp has been on for a couple of years and no huge breakthrough has been made. I wouldn't count on it ever becoming complete enough for someone(It is always other teams doing the ports) to use it for a PC port. It is actually so slow that they haven't put other versions into their plans. Usually these decomps always want to support all versions, but it's only version 1.5 currently with Botw. Not 1.6 and not any of the legacy revisions, simply because of how long it already takes to reasonably get this one singular version under wraps. And like, I don't blame them at all. Anything newer than 6th generation has been giving decompiler teams a run for their money since forever, simply because of how more complex these games usually become with each passing generation.
LoZ Echoes looks ok. At this point I’m indifferent towards it. I don’t want to buy anymore Nintendo games. I don’t want to enable Nintendos litigation inclinations nor to lose games either.

Against Intellectual Monopoly is the most informative book humanity has on the subject now. Against Intellectual Property is _another_ incredible essay, but it’s written from a right-libertarian perspective so if you’re, like me, not right-libertarian you’ll have to read with an open mind and extract what’s helpful. _Only_ these two texts are the gold standard when it comes to intellectual property.
Intellectual property is to protect the inventor. Please look into why trademark and IP came to be. Don't just the boss something without understanding the full breath of it. It is used in horrible ways though

They already did for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Respectively, the projects are called Ship of Harkinian and 2 Ship 2 Harkinian.
There are decomps for WW and TP in progress as well. Pretty sure TP had over 40% progress reported last I saw

Rather than the super mario theme I think the sonic drowning music might be more effective for the smoke alarm 😅
