Thank you very much my husband bought me the watch for. Christmas I am retired thought perhaps this watch was a little technical for me but watching your video it was great thank you I will be watching the video again
I believe it does, the article below is from the Garmin website to set up the Barometric Altimeter. support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FmE1UxYdn56rYdmThGbO06
I’ve always used a heart strap with garmin watch for workouts but thinking of buying this watch and not using chest strap anymore. Do you feel like the HR is pretty accurate when exercising? Thanks a lot!
I unfortunately don't have anything to compare it to, but based on how it reacts to activity it seems to be pretty accurate for me, just make sure to follow the instructions to set it up correctly and make sure it gets an accurate reading!
It has a pool swim activity in the list of activities to track. Some quick research online shows its water resistant up to 5 ATM, and it won't track GPS swimming but can track pool swimming!
I will paste a link below (content was just from a google search, I used the designated app to install which I highly recommend to be safe, as that's the recommended method to install), but as this is typically downloaded through the app store if you use "Connect IQ" and search for "GearMIn" you will find it! A side note, there is a "GearMin 2.0" which I think looks great as well, I will paste both links below. I think it is usually easier to download the "Connect IQ" app to download and install any watch faces and apps to avoid scam related downloads. Hey! I will paste a link below to an article I found, it looks like the consensus online is that the Vivoactive 3 has cornering gorilla glass 3. I have had this device for almost a year and a half, I have run a few obstacle courses with it and the only issue I have had was the keeper (little rubber piece) on the wristband broke. The screen has a small scratch, and the silver bezel has some minor scratches, but overall the device has held up well! www.techradar.com/reviews/garmin-vivoactive-3-review
That would be for the "Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music". That is a separate device, feel free to look it up online! I will say I am not sure about the data storage, so you may want to look that up as well.
It's a good watch but I wish it had an open water swimming activity option. I have to select walk & then edit it to swim in Connect & Strava later every time.
awesome video, you skipped the specs that are easy to find, thank you exactly what i needed :)
Thanks for watching!
I got this as a replacement for my VIvoactive HR as a refurbished model and I paid $169.92 AUD for it including delivery. Happy so far.
Awesome!

Waaaatttttttt 99 only !!!!! I paid 249 🤦
Where did you find it for $99?
@@devonpeters9458 it was on Amazon for $99. I got it used. Ive had mine since December, works like a charm.

outstanding and informative video, thank you! my old, old vivoactive needs to be put out to pasture so you helped me decide on replacement!

Hi, does it give you acurate coordinates? Will I know if Im moving if Im in a boat?
The GPS should pick up the location.
And show movement?
@zalle1 if you have a GPS activity it should show the distance traveled. I'm not sure how it would register activity or if it would.
What is that blue bar graph telling you on the right side watch at the 25 second mark?
At 25 seconds the graph at the bottom of the screen is the activity for the week, this is for a custom watch face I downloaded.
@@TylerTalksChannel Thank you!! I used the same watch face, and could never figure out what the blue bar meant!

I love it for the price, I think the newer models will have much more functionality. For $100-$150 I think it is a great device.
I have the vivoactive for 3 years now and I'm only finding out that I can change the watch face from another app... I feel so stupid now. Lmao
Better late than never!
