Yes, that was Lainie with the hair pulled back. Rita did not leave until 1981. I loved Kristin Vigard as Morgan and ws unhappy when she was let go. Morgan was always playing with her fingers in her scenes. The show was so good in 1979 and 1980.
Guiding Light was classic from the time Roger Thrope moved into the Reardon family boarding house to the time a guy name Lujack Lavanacheck became part of Springfeild stories AND rivaled Phillup for Beth Reins love.
Lizbeth Dalton was heartbreaking in the scenes where Elizabeth distanced herself from Philip. This material really showed her strengths as an actress. I'm sorry we never saw Elizabeth again after this. Who was that woman standing up in the Bauer Christmas scenes, with her hair pulled back...was that Lainie? I thought she was gone by this time. Poor Eve, still so in love with Ben. Eve had a lot of different hairstyles. Was Rita gone at this point? Barbara is wearing Star Trek (TOS) evening wear. Morgan was such a believable teen, one of the most believable I can remember on a soap. Poor Amanda. Jennifer's cellmate is played by Mady Kaplan, daughter of Frances Heflin (Mona Kane, AMC). She went on to be the evil, vicious Marie Kovac on ATWT in 1985.
Watched this show with my mother back in the day, and I have visceral feelings for how much we hated the character of Nola. It all came back in waves. Ugh.
The first actress that played Beth, always reminded me of Morgan.
Alan and Hope on their island, there is nothing better! My advice to you both, STAY THERE!
THIS IS LEGENDARY..... DAYTIME TELEVISION WILL NEVER C THIS TYPE OF TALENT AGAIN.....
Guiding light at its best, Chris Bernau What a fabulous man an actor he was, that’s how I got hooked on guiding light
15:00 For those playing 'Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,' here he is as Tim Warner on GL

I loved this morgan. No idea why she was recast
I heard that it was because she had trouble memorizing lines

Oh come on Nola, use your 1980 IPhone to take the pictures instead of that antiquated Polaroid!
